There’ll be no paper on the wall because the manager and players all know that based on stats we should finish bottom.

Taking off our rose coloured spectacles then I can totally understand why anyone would think us and Norwich will be bottom 2.
However most managers just collect top quality players and try to mould them into a team.

Whereas Wilder does the above back to front.
He has a clear vision of his team shape, style of play and team tactics (plan A, B and C) and chooses players specifically for his vision.
This means that previously half decent players suddenly start performing like high quality players.
What’s the saying?......round pegs in round holes. Wilder is a master at it.
So it wouldn’t surprise me if we finish just below mid table and I’m very confident we’ll stay up.
Had a conversation with a man city fan this evening along these very lines. He smirked and mocked. At which point I suggested City are the new mufc - arrogant, expectant and entitled.

He didn't like that much

The more of this the better as far as I am concerned. More people [or in this case a super computer] who will look like utter twats once we show them what we can do.

I know the concept of a computer looking like a twat is a strange one, but I am sure you get my point.

I prefer us being underdogs.

If they were all saying, 'yes United will finish in the top 10 no problem', I would be more worried.

Anybody want a season ticket ?

Not much point goin now aidrian Durham and the super computer have said we’re goin down

  • They will suffer the season's biggest defeat, away at Anfield on New Year's Day where Liverpool will triumph 6-0.

Yeah ok.

Seriously who writes this crap?

I don't understand why some people get so worked up by the media when they "predict" we'll get relegated. Stevie Wonder could say we'll get relegated as there's a good chance it'll happen.

The media do very little research on teams beyond the top 6 and it's easier to say the newly promoted teams will struggle/go back down without much in the way of actual research.

Here's a fact. We might go down although we might survive. The media can say whatever they like, ultimately, it's down to our lads to prove them wrong.

I think our recruitment has been fantastic and hopefully if everyone stays fit and works together as a unit there's no reason to suggest we won't finish have a good season.
