To be fair, this was done with the help of Opta, Sqwaka and Google. All very respectable - however, they've obviously jumped the gun as no mention of any of our new signings in our season commentary. It'll be interesting to see if any of it comes true as it's supposedly based on data/stats.

Pin it up, Chris!!!!!

One name.

RAY HUDSON.

Not heard of him?
You'll have heard him if you've had the dreadful misfortune to watch a match where he's been commentating.

You’ve never heard Andy Townsend, David Pleat or Glenn Hoddle then, I take it? They make McManaman look like an inspired genius.

Lee Dixon too, Danny Murphy does the FA Cup and doesn't understand the rules of football.

McManaman is one of the better ones to be honest in comparison.

Best two.

Lee Dixon.
Graeme Le Saux.

with Arlo White commentating.

What’s it even matter? These things are part and parcel of football now.

World revolves around “content” and when there isn’t any it has to be made hence these things.

Someone has to come bottom of these things and it’s always going to be one of the promoted teams and it ain’t going to be Villa so it was always going to be either us or Norwich..

For what it’s worth they will be wrong.

As the season draws closer, and various 'hangers-on' who continue to make a living in the media from football, line up to give their insightful opinion that United will be relegated, its hard not to recall that we've been here before - a mere 2 Summers ago.

For me, what I felt back then seems just as pertinent now. Indeed, just like the Championship was built up to be something it wasn't, I believe that, outside of Man City and Liverpool, the 'quality' of the Premier League continues to be chronically over-hyped.

I look at some of the 'premium mediocrity' assembled by the majority of Premier League clubs and wonder just what it is that we're supposed to be concerned about, and what basis there is for concluding that we're destined to finish bottom of the pile.

Then again, I don't think I flatter myself in saying that I've probably forgotten more about football than most of the wooden tops who get paid to talk drivel on TV, radio and in the print media, will ever know.

I have to say that I continue to be perplexed by the frequent discussions about a potential struggle next season.

Much like the Premier League has been puffed up by its own self-importance only to be continually shown up as actually being mediocre as soon as the 'cream' of our top division have to play any European team, even those from the supposed minnow countries, so it seems that those in and around the Championship are desperate to convince everyone that it is "the hardest most unfogiving division in England", " the second best league in Europe" or some other such rot.

I've seen enough of the Championship to know that it is utter dross. A third of the division are complete basket-case clubs who have spent unwisely in the past and continue to do so in a desperate attempt to reverse past errors, but who without good management are destined to follow Blackburn. And another third of clubs are basket-cases in waiting, as they over-reach themselves with ill-planned and ridiculous transfers in a desperate bid to get to the supposed utopia of 'television-land' football. I mean look at Bristol City: how has splashing over £5m on a striker nobody has heard of changed anything for a team that spent 4 months shipping goals and losing every other match, other than put a noose around the manager's neck?

We proved last season that we were far more than a League 1 team - 14 clear of Bolton and 27 clear of Millwall - and the Championship is not what it's cracked up to be anyway.

I can't help recalling the words attributed by Norman Mailer to Muhammad Ali, in the dressing room before the Foreman fight: "What's going on here? Why has this chump got everbody so scared? What's the matter with you? Nothing to be scared about. There is no need to be scared of anything you can control with your skill."

They've basically ran it through a supercomputer.

Struggling to find last season's 'script' - maybe it's been deleted as it was so far off?

Weird how some people are offended by the tipsters.

No one can deny that on paper we are the worse team in the PL BUT as we know football isn’t played on paper
They clearly haven’t taken into account the “Wilder factor”, a manager who buys underperforming semi decent players or lower league players.
But he finds the perfect role for that player so they quickly start looking like high quality players.
For example Lys Mousset did very little at Bournmouth but it wouldn’t surprise me that under Wilder he looks a real talent next season.

All these pundits are on the gravy train its self serving to keep talking it up,they don't want a financially prudent club to upset the myth.
In most of the games on MOTD the refs decisions are talked about more than the actual game, which was shit.

This ammo for Chris is coming thick and fast. Get that paper on the wall.

The so called professional people who commentate or give opinions on the Premier league are oblivious to the rest of the world, they really haven’t got a clue about anything else and spout continuous bollocks about the top clubs, it’s quite funny how bland, short sighted and shite their comments are.

Please. Let this moronic shit stop.
Btw. Can you stop pretending to be remotely irk whilst we're at it.
Is this your attempt at some sort of redemption?

How many threads are we having on this?

Does each new thread increase our points total in a revised made up table?
This ones the best and obviously the most truthful so I’m staying on here. 🤣

There’ll be no paper on the wall because the manager and players all know that based on stats we should finish bottom.

Taking off our rose coloured spectacles then I can totally understand why anyone would think us and Norwich will be bottom 2.
However most managers just collect top quality players and try to mould them into a team.

Whereas Wilder does the above back to front.
He has a clear vision of his team shape, style of play and team tactics (plan A, B and C) and chooses players specifically for his vision.
This means that previously half decent players suddenly start performing like high quality players.
What’s the saying?......round pegs in round holes. Wilder is a master at it.
So it wouldn’t surprise me if we finish just below mid table and I’m very confident we’ll stay up.
