But it was tonsillitis wasn't it...?
Bit weird to suddenly become Glandular Fever when it was originally tonsilitis.

Hope we're not going to be adding glandular fever/tonsilitis to flu and sunstroke.

Is Glandular Fever similar to Shingles?,I had Shingles as an adult, boy did that take some getting over

Do they not do a day release scheme at Crab Industries for that course?

I'm thinking of doing something along the lines of The Apprentice. Just waiting for one of the sattelite channels to get back to me.

As we say at Crab Industries, "lying" is such a strong word. Misdirection, now thats a nice word.

Alternative facts?

I'd have thought that Crab Industries US would have had a PR Dept that would be all over it.

Do you know, I sometimes wonder if Crab Industries Inc are quite the global behemoth that you make out?

A soupcon of embelishment has been applied I think it's fair to say.

The literal meaning of tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils. One of the very common first symptoms of glandular fever is inflammation of the tonsils.

To be honest I never knew that, my brother had it but he never had tonsilitis...
And I'm just glad you got some pleasure out of it :)
I was 'diagnosed' by a shit doctor at Crookesmoor as having 'a virus' and was more or less told to fuck off and stop wasting his time. After a couple of months of being ill I went back to the practice and saw another doctor who took a blood test and told me I'd had glandular fever. The annoying thing is that I was around the age most people get it, 21ish and it was going around at the time so it shouldn't have been that hard to diagnose.

I've had tonsilitis, never had glandular fever touch wood. I always thought your main symptom was the glands under your throat swelling.

It's allsorts; sore throat, swollen glands all round your body, severe weakness/dizziness but the glands don't dwell like mumps, they just come up a bit and ache.

This is from NHS Choices:-

See a GP if you have:

  • a very high temperature or you feel hot and shivery
  • a severe sore throat
  • swelling either side of your neck - swollen glands
  • extreme tiredness or exhaustion
  • tonsillitis that isn't getting better
These are glandular fever symptoms. You don't usually get glandular fever more than once.
