there is an agenda against Wilson
I think Wilson is getting some unfair criticism on here, you can tell technically he's a great player.
.
Once every so often a player comes along that brightens up the whole pitch. A player that you genuinely look forward to seeing play. You applaud him coming on and perhaps give a cheeky smile and a nod to your pal next to you, who is thinking the exact same thing. The acknowledgement that, hopefully, you're about to watch summet very good.
That's David Brooks for me at the moment. Long may it continue.
I think Wilson is getting some unfair criticism on here, you can tell technically he's a great player and he doesn't waste it much when it's at his feet. He's barely had any chances to feed off when he's played and I think if he had one or two sniffs at goal he'd be putting it away.
He's not going to win any plaudits when he's being asked to hold the ball up or constantly running back to our defence which he has been.
Because he's been very ill?Something bugs me about his lack of game time in that I reckon he’s on his way. I know nothing of whether he’s gone or not, but for me, as he is our player, why isn’t he playing more? Don’t give me this “he’s young” stuff. Sessegnon is 17 and playing every week. Why isn’t Brooks? You can see he’s got that something. Why aren’t we utilising him more?
Can we put to bed the notion that Brooks is an attacking midfielder.
He is a striker, he does well on the shoulder of the last man and can finish
Love the kid , hope he doesn't leave but the inevitability is he will when we don't go up , if he does go I will wish him all the best and follow his career .

Playing him less = trying to sell him

Leon's going to have to wait. The Duffy/Brooks combination is key to us reviving our season, it's a no-brainer.
I think that Leon will be re-instated because he is the only one who gives us that height and presence up top - other than the Don and he's out of form. You might be right though and I would definitely start Brooks over Wilson.
Yeah...I found something a bit 'off' with how Wilder spoke about Brooks. Maybe just me. Seemed to want to gloss over him very quickly.Brooks cannot start yet because of a medical issue according to Wilder
Spot onThe real key was pace and actually playing the ball first time.
Helps that Duffy and Brooks are two players that thrive on that.
Absolutely, best part of the whole match, superb touch from Sharp, he made the goal in that split second.Excellent.
But I’d confidently predict that goal doesn’t happen if any of our other CFs played the role Sharp did for the deft touch to Duffy.
Sublime.
UTB
I agree but you must realise that someone has to play the part of the scapegoat..of the current squad, Leon, Lunny, Lafferty, have all dabbled with the position. Stearman & Donaldson have been put forward by some for the role and by the criticism he seems to be unfairly gathering atm mister Wilson is unfortunately being lined up by some for the role.I think Wilson is getting some unfair criticism on here, you can tell technically he's a great player and he doesn't waste it much when it's at his feet. Mind you Blackmans left handed save wasn't bad though, was it!![]()

Yeah most probably, Wilder said that he's still got a medical issueBack on bench Saturday
What a player.
Since coming on to the pitch tonight he has completely changed the flow of the game. We were by no means playing badly but were looking somewhat slow and ponderous and Burton were enjoying their best spell of the game. On comes Brooks and everything that we do suddenly moves up a gear. Passes are played more quickly, there is more movement and therefore more players in space wanting the ball and making things happen.
Not only does he scare the shit out of the opposition with his quick thinking, feet and running but he also encourages the rest of the team to play the same.
What a player he is going to be. Hopefully for us...
Bloody ridiculous that he didn't start tonight.
