Both Sunderland and Burton are still stuck in the 20s as points go. Wednesday are 3 away from 40 points. Then you have 2 or three teams struggling like Birmingham and Hull.

It’s not though really, it’s more like Wednesday are a complete irrelevance to us now for the rest of this season so I couldn’t give a shit what they do. Whereas Bristol City aren’t irrelevant to us, they are a rival to the play-offs, hence we should want them to lose.

On a different slant, I don't think Bristol City will secure a play off place regardless of their result against Wednesday. I am often wrong about these things! But I think Bristol City will gradually slip away from the play offs. I see Middlesbrough, Brentford and maybe Preston as greater threats.

So every time Wednesday beat someone who is also chasing a playoff place, it's them doing us a favour? And we should only get into the playoffs when all the other teams chasing a playoff place do the double over Wednesday? In fact, none of the other teams chasing a playoff spot should be beaten by anybody at all, because that would be other teams doing us a favour - and then we wouldn't have done it ourselves?
