NHP had the fantastic sheffield mixtape on it too... a must-hear!

I can't make head nor tail of this, but I guess this is as good a place as any to post it.

Great little bit on a badge of Deano plus lots of Sheffield related stuff for the older Blade. If you're of a certain age I think you might like it.

Respect the badge. Deano started playing for us just as I started watching. His leaving for Leeds Utd was the first great horror of my fandom. His last game was like a huge road sign announcing the departure from youth.

I've no idea why the article thinks it might be deemed racist. It's the most harmless, well-meant thing imaginable.

That's mental. It verges on greatness but the fact it contains clips of Leeds makes it just a bit wrong.

No video clips of his blades days, either. Just some slides.

That goal for Wham is a belter.

wow a bit freaky this - about three hours before I came across the link I posted I'd got out some old singles to play to my young lad and two I played were being boiled and marianne by the league.

that badge is as incredible as it is unique. don't know why the writer seems concerned about it being racist...

His header at Sunderland was one of the mosy powerful headers i have ever seen, i felt sorry for the mackem defender who got in the way of Deane and the ball as he nearly ended up in the net!

Fimo! Bloody hell, that brings back memories. A great badge, and one to be savoured. Years ago, Danny Baker had a phone-in show which involved a discussion about 'home made memorabilia'. The "Wooden Bowtie" is possibly the best example of one.

Here it is.

I, personally, had a knitted goalkeeper shirt in emerald green. My Nan even knitted "1" in white into the back of it. People forgot to tell her that Republic Of Ireland players play in emerald green when not a goalkeeper, in general. The wonders of South-East London.

That guy's writing is awesome. His piece on The Designers Republic is particularly exquisite.
