To the tune of oasis ‘the importance of being idle’

Wilder called up to Liverpool
For the lad called Brewster
A buy back clause was agreed upon
But he’s ours for future

I don’t mind
As long as he’s a blade you know the boy will shine
He’ll be fine
Give him the ball
Brewster scores a goal
We all go mental cos Uniteds on a roll

Been imagining one to this for the past couple of weeks haha.
If anyone’s on tiktok you’ll know...

OOOOOOOOOH Rhian is a reyt laugh
He's a rey laugh n lot
But if he killed my nannan
I'd call him a bumbo clot
Yeeeaahhh, that's enough from you thanks. There's a line you're coming veeeery close to crossing.

Oh well a long shot I know, but they must have had a vision of the future

Here is my awful attempt, to the tune of Rupert the bear!!! I know but I had been drinking

Brewster, Brewster the blade
Everyone knows his name

Brewster, Brewster the blade
He’s going to fuckin score again
And again and again

Anyone else immediately sing this to the Only Fools & Horses theme?

I think you're overthinking it.

Just yelled at the top of your voice. Screamed at the telly. With a beer in your hand. Jumping up and down. As he gets subbed in the 52nd minute having touched the ball four times in the whole match because the midfield haven't a fucking clue how to find him with a pass or a decent cross.

I'm enamored with his signing. But frankly, we could sign Levandowski, Kane or Messi and still get fucking nowhere unless we change the tactics and sort the supply end out. Song or no song.

There's a lot of pressure on Brewster now to produce ... with nil supply.

Bad night?

Stolen from the old Steve Bull song

Brewster is a Blade
He wears an England Cap
He plays for Sheffield United
And he's a lovely chap
He scores with his left foot
He scores with his right
And when he plays the Piggies
He'll score all fucking night
Oooooooooohhhhhhh

Repeat

Bad night?

Not at all. Really glad we have nailed the transfer - but we've got Sharp, McB, Mousse, Didsy ... all scrabbling about to make half a chance against faffing about in the crossing zone, dicking about whacking the ball across the pitch or hitting the near post/first defender from a corner.

Tell me I am wrong. No goals so far this season.

I'm going to really enjoy myself singing all these new songs alone in my living room, while under 'lockdown', watching the game tomorrow! 🙄😉

One 4 da yoof

To the tune of 'My old man's a dustman " from Lonnie Donegan and his popular beat combo.

Brewster is a striker
He wears a striker's hat
He comes from that there London
He hasn't got a cat.

I'm here all day....

Brewster, brewster,
Our best striker in ages.
He only signed for us,
Because his thread got to 300 pages.

To the tune of super trouper Abba.
Super Brewster He,s gonna score.

Super Brewster he,s gonna score a goal any minute now. Super Brewster.

Special Brew lyrics can be worked at surely:

I love Brew, yes i do
Cause i know he loves us too
I love Brew, yes i do
gona spend all our money on you

We've got Super Brewster Nah Nah Nah We've got Super Brewster Nah Nah Nah.

to the tune of green sleaves.
Are you going to Bramall Lane to be Brewster score again.
when crowds are allowed to attend off course.

The 'fading about ' has served us well since 2016, so I'm happy to keep faith. To completely change the way we play would surely be far more risky.

I think we have been sussed. Toward the end of last season, post lockdown, teams had worked on countering our 3-5-2 and the flying centreback strategy. Wolves at home snuffed it out very effectively, even in the second half when we tinkered with it. Leeds coped adequately and our direction was pedestrianised and one-themed. We need to be more direct and find the forwards and shoot from range. And again, 'the crossing'. Its the areas where previously, we have capitalised so well but we were bound to one day be found out in.

Like I say, I hope Brewster likes feeding on scraps.
