Watched on sky red button, I didn't enjoy our performance, obviously the result was brilliant but Chris sent us out to get a result so fair play to him but what happened to we only play one way? Well not tonight we didn't ,unrecognizable from our usual way of going about things, still a 2-3 away win, is Chris going to change the way we go about things in future? Saturday will be very interesting to see how we go about things being at home against a better team than Brentford

That was fun. Thought the poorest of the lot on Saturday (Freeman, Fleck, Norwood) all responded with performances more like we’re used to. Lundstram was alright, despite what the guy behind me with Lunny Tourette’s thought (though he also seemed to think he was shit for us in League 1, when he didn’t play for us). Henderson had little to do – unsure who was at fault for the opener. McGoldrick seemed better at the game than the reviews he’s got on here. Clarke missed a couple of sitters before vitally notching the winner. Their keeper got some merciless stick all second half.

Special mention for His Excellency General Washington, who provided an outlet with his pacey forays when we tonked it up top towards the channels. Caused them a lot of problems, and crucially latched onto Freeman’s very alert throw-in to then cut it back to Clarke for the winner.

Personally, though I wasn't there so didn't see as much of him off the ball, on TV I didn't see much of a response from Freeman, saw a fair few gaffs though, one where he tried to shield it only for him to land on his face almost immediately after and sent a Brentford player into our box was particularly dangerous. Thankfully we remembered how good Enda is today unlike Saturday when we ignored him, so Freeman had someone to share the wing work with.

Baldock still comes in for me on Saturday if he's fit.

I think McG is having a bit of a bad run at the moment, missed the pen against Wendy, and some sitters since, assuming Duffy is playing I'd be tempted to go for Sharp and Washington up front against Leeds, have McG for the inevitable Duffy substitution. We definitely need one of those two in our midfield.

Thought Clarke was fine, some harsh comments on here about the header he missed, but plenty of other chances went begging for others before that and he took his goal well and seemed to really enjoy it.

Lundstram was the technically strong, no nonsense mop up/spare man midfielder he has shown himself to be in flashes, if he can keep it going he'll be a great player for us. Consistency is key for him, I expect he might be back on the bench for a bit now though.

Him and Washington have done themselves big favours tonight.

To be fair to him he’s directly involved in two of our goals – for the 2nd he traps the ball cleared to him well and immediately weights an inviting pass to Norwood to step in and finish, and for the 3rd it’s again quick-thinking that releases Washington while the defender is resettiing.

He missed two really good chances. Sharp got some criticism for the header at the end of the derby – this was a far simpler opportunity. He responded to both misses well ultimately though with what was a really nice finish.

Chuffed to bits with 3pts tonight, as any time you beat Brentford its a great victory whether they are struggling for form or top of the league. Even going back to League 1 battles. You knew you were in for tough 90mins. Still going into history cant think of a easy game we had against then

Clarke isn’t allowed to miss chances, he’s wank if he does. McG has missed a penalty against our rivals, a sitter against Rotherham and another last night and he’s quality.

Got to love Blades logic sometimes.

Great win and thankfully it went our way after dropping our most creative player and top goal scorer which were both big calls be Wilder.

Thought Freeman was poor again though IMO.

Ecstatic with the win but I’m not sure about the performance as we didn’t control the game as normal but we did mix it up more and got early balls in to the box. We also ran around a lot more than at Rotherham and the effort level was what we expect.

If we play that way against Leeds we will be easily beaten.

Overall I feel a bit like when you want your Mrs to dress a bit tartier. All right for a one off when she’s out with you but you wouldn’t want her doing it all the time.

Fantastic result that. Made up for Clarke as well.

How did Washington play, will he be pushing for more starts?

Me too re Clarke. On form I still think there aren't many better in this league. If we can get him in one of his purple patches he can score a goal a game. He hasn't had much service this season in my view but he can drop his head and look somewhat languid too when he goes a few games without a goal.
