Where is everyone planning on having a drink before the game on Saturday? The four pubs around the ground seem an obvious choice.

We get in London at around half 9 I think, so wondered if anybody could recommend anywhere on route to Brentford? Close to tube stops, good beer etc. are the requirements.

There's some good pubs on Kew Green (Rose & Crown, The Greyhound, The Botanist, Coach & Horses). Will probably head down there. Nearest train/tube stops are Kew Bridge Rail (National Rail), Gunnersbury (London Overground & District Line), Kew Gardens (London Overground & District Line). About 10-15 minutes walk to the ground from Kew Green.

Some people are meeting in the Magpie & Crown (closest Brentford National Rail Station) before moving on to the four pubs on the corners of the ground, but that's the wrong side of the ground from where i'm coming from.

We are going tomorrow morning and staying in ealing for a Friday night out ,will keep an eye on here on Saturday morning.

We're heading down early Saturday morning and then making our way towards the ground... will post in here when we've decided on where.

First to see Sir Bob Booker buys him a pint?

Tossing up the idea of heading striaght to the Magpie or stopping in Kew first and having a couple there, before a slight detour to Magpie and then ground. Hmmmmm, decisions decisions ......

Im going to be stopping off in my local bus shelter for a couple of cans of White Diamond.

Another morning\lunch\early afternoon of crossing Weatherspoons off the excel spreadsheet in places like Putney and Hounslow :(

*Sigh*

White Diamond? Pushing the boat out there Walthy, I'm all for Frost Jacks myself.

Snakebite made with Tennants Super, Diamond White and cheap blackcurrant cordial...there's a drink.

Tennants S - vile, vile stuff. Surprisingly, Special Brew is not a bad tipple. Gives a short lived warm buzz followed by an inevitable deep sleep. Can see why your Harrold Ramps favour it.
