27,180 there yesterday means it was pretty much a sell out considering the BLUT is closed. Absolute madness.

Been smoking too much ganja pal.Over 27k there yesterday yet the BLUT remains closed.
I'd ask Bettis a) why close it now when it's never been regularly closed for league games for over 50 yet, even when we were getting 12k in the 80's? b) who's decision was it, and does this decision have the support of playing staff? b) this is exactly the type of decision that the FAB should be involved in. What input came from the FAB and ordinary fans and c) is the plan to keep it closed all season? If now, when will it open?
What does that mean? If you disagree why not say what you think?Been smoking too much ganja pal.
He was pretty vague about it .
You clearly didnt listen to Bettis statement. The BLUT FAILED its annual inpection, so its been shut until its repaired. So consulting playing staff , FAB, or ordinary fans is irrelevant. Easy as that really. What does that mean? If you disagree why not say what you think?

When I said it I said it with my construction head on site manager for many years . You don't need the calcs to understand the project or the scope of works .Maybe because he's an accountant, not a structural engineer.
If he had gone into all the detail regarding the structural design elements and loading calculations how many on here would have any greater comprehension of the issue?
When the financial issues of loss of parachute payments and new squad to income ratio's were talked about in the summer how many hundreds of posts of - yes but, why aren't we buying new players ...
Does need a complete re paint the kop steelwork . Noticed at alot of grounds we go to they all have the same problems . At least John street where the steel is galvanised we won't have those problems on there . Kop corner has had its roof steels re coated .This is the Kop roof
Looks like it could also use some tlc
Spurs had similar at the old WHL except on one side rather than end and for home fans.Quite literally the best "end-on" view in football.
When people refer to "standing on the shoulders of giants"
It always makes me think of the front row of the BLUT and
"sitting on the shoulders of goalies".
You feel like you're hovering over the 6-yard box , it's brilliant.
Bramall Lane doesn't hold 32k anymore - closer to 30.5k because of segregation and netted off seats.blut doesnt hold 5k

Did you hear him when he said that we could open it tomorrow but have decided to keep it closed because we "aren't filling the stadium?"You clearly didnt listen to Bettis statement. You’re fooling no-one. All that rust, clearly Hillsborough..This is the Kop roof

Yep, it just depends which club you are?Council and safety certificate![]()
We've got SAG to thank for that!Bramall Lane doesn't hold 32k anymore - closer to 30.5k because of segregation and netted off seats.
Yeah - it’s a joke the restrictions in Sheffield. I watched the highlights of Huddersfield v Wednesday & they were only segregated in the same stand behind the goal by a line of stewards and a short barrier down the stand I think….. No chance that will ever be allowed to happen in Sheffield. We've got SAG to thank for that!
Taking Bettis too literally. It couldnt open tomorrow at all, its got NO roof on ! Theyve clearly decided to heed by the advice given from the inspection and decided the work needs to be done. Easy as that really.Did you hear him when he said that we could open it tomorrow but have decided to keep it closed because we "aren't filling the stadium?"
Failing an inspection doesn't automatically mean that a stand must be closed.
Easy as that really.
Does that mean you're not healthy financially either? (Smiley emoji thing) (or the winky one)More to the point, SCR does not mean we cannot spend on the stadium especially for repairs, these owners aren't willing or aren't they able.
Lots of questions. They say the club is health financially. I don't buy it for a second.
Easy as that really.

Nothing like Uncle Chan -The answers on FH by Bettis reeked of![]()
earlier they said it was just for the first few games that it would be closed now he as much as said it will be for all season. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me that it is not safe for Blades fans but OK for away fans lower down. Coupled with the owners refusing to pay the Prince what they owe and delays on starting on the academy, as well as a summer recruitment of loans and free transfers most of us can deduce the owners don't have two dimes to scratch their fannies with. Unless they can attract new investment or sell up the club is stuck on hold for a few years. Shades of Mr Chansiri anyone?
We are operating in a seasonal business.
This work should have been completed in the summer.
Go to any seasonal resort in the world and they are carrying out their repairs, renewals, refurbishment in their 'off season'. Everything is prepared and ready for opening. The repairs to the ground should have been completed by August 15th 2026.
As far as Bettis's 'it's closed because we are not filling it' is concerned, well that's down to the fact the marketing team sit there all week twiddling their thumbs and chewing on the end of their pencils.
At 9.00 am this morning those in marketing should be given a clear strategy.....
'You've got 2 weeks make sure every seat is sold for the next home game on October 24th 2026 against Derby'. Be creative.
The fact that each home game the announced attendance is always similar to the last home game shows very little effort is made to fill those empty seats.
Sloppy business all round.

Pretty sure it has got a roof on, the same one that covers the away section. Bettis clearly stated the reason it is closed is a commercial decision taken (wrongly in my opinion) given the current attendance figures.Taking Bettis too literally. It's got the front parts of the roof sheeting stripped away ,under netting installed ,the faults or whatever is the problem has been uncovered and will hopefully be sorted close season .Pretty sure it has got a roof on, the same one that covers the away section.
