What are the rules these days on taking cameras with removable lenses to the lane?

Not planning to take anything massive, just a mirror less camera with a chunky wide angle lens.

I don’t the know the rules but The chances of you being searched going into the lane for this game are between slim and zero.

As long as it’s in your pocket and not in a bag you shouldn’t have a issue.

Well, it’ll be too far too big to go into my pocket. I don't plan on hiding it. I just want to know if I’ll be stopped.

No idea, but definitely worth either contacting the club beforehand or getting to the ground early enough that you can take it back to your car if needs be. Bags get searched.

In all seriousness, I dont think you can bring it in...

no person (other than a person who holds an
appropriate licence) may capture, log, record, transmit, play, issue, show or otherwise
communicate (by digital or other means) any Material in relation to the Match, any pl
ayers
or other persons present in the Ground and/or the Ground, nor may they bring into the
Ground or use within the Ground (or provide to, facilitate or otherwise assist another person
to use within the Ground) any equipment or technology which is capable
of capturing,
logging, recording, transmitting, playing, issuing, showing or otherwise communicating (by
digital or other means) any such Material

I used to be a steward for 1 season at BL about 20 years ago.

We were told cheap camera or cameras on phones were fine
But anything that can be used commercially, eg long lens cameras, can’t be used.

This is roughly the size of what I wanted to bring in.

Hmmmm, family's with Kids, which means, by rights, you would need to ask every parents consent to photograph anything that may include their child........very grey area isn't it?

That lens is a lot bigger than it looks!

I’ll probably leave it at home.

Do you still have the boxes for the camera body and lense? Take them in a bag and see what security say when they see them. Then you know for next time?

LPT: It's better to seek forgiveness than ask permission. Grasshopper.

If you really want to get it into the ground simply ;) separate body from lens and place the two items in different pockets - or stuff it/them at the bottom of full bag which a steward is never in a million years going to ask you to empty out.

Generally, bags are (perfunctorily) searched, people aren't.

You'll definitely be able to get it in, just depends how much trouble it's weth.

That said, if you whip it out and start playing with it in the ground that might be frowned upon.

Can we get some close-ups of Coutts?

This is definitely a job for the Squirrel Secret Service...I believe The Crab has a wing attachment of these furry furtive friends to carry out the job you require without any repercussions!

Stick in the front of your pants, unless you get a queerbo to search you, ain't nobody going near that and if it's as big as you say you should get some action with the ladies too!
