So much was talked about this particular player. What a talented, skilful player he is, we've been told, capable of tearing any team a new backside, and that we wouldn't be able to live with him.......
Well fast forward, the morning after and who'da thought that the 'mighty' Blackburn had a member of staff worthy of the praise heaped upon this one player. They might just as well have sat down for the whole game and watched as we passed our way to victory. There was no problem too difficult that a crisply hit pass couldn't answer, there was no way that their attempts at pressing could make us panic. Boys against men, at least that's how it seems upon reflection. The mighty Dack must have locked himself in a cupboard, surely that's the only reasonable explanation for the guy who masqueraded as his understudy.......Dack was cack, there's no other way to describe his ineffectiveness last night. When called upon to step up and show us what he's got, who was there? Someone called Bradley so I've been told, maybe the Big Issue concessionary, wandered in by mistake and handed a shirt?
Perhaps his stay at Gillingham has dulled whatever excellence he once possessed, god knows there was little to suggest the mega-god we were lead to believe would lead the assault on Wilder's Blades. But, all clouds have a lining, silver if not silky cream, and Blackburn can rest assured that if this is the best their prize asset can produce they'll have no fear of losing Dackers in the next transfer window. Well done our defence, like feeding pale believers in a non-existent god to the lions.
Makes you realise just how much talent Chris Wilder has assembled at t'Lane.
