Player Suggestion Bradley Dack

Have we actually been genuinely linked with Deck or is it merely the fact he played well versus us?

At Gillingham me and my mate noticed Dack and his hair and had great fun repeatedly saying the phrase 'I am Dack' in ambigiuous accents reminiscent of Schwarzenegger in the Conan films or Dolph Lundgren in Red Scorpion.

Subsequently I was very disappointed when he scored and I learned from the stadium announcer that his first name was 'Bradley'.

Construction (Design and Management)? I didn't know they did medals for CDM Regs 2015 now.o_O
C.D.M perhaps you not old enough to remember that ad one for all the blades players and 2 for nigel
Cadburys. Dairy. Milk
C D M

All hands on Dack?.....
If you were Australian that would be all hands on Dick

Always have a chuckle when those homes down under are on TV and they say there's a a big dick out back :D

I noticed he git another 2 goals yesterday.

This is exactly the signing I'd be looking to make: not only is he a good option at this level, not only is he young but vitally: it weakens one of our rivals.

If we hang around and don't act on players like this that are obviously showing they have the capability to do very well this season then it will slowly become a deal we cannot achieve with the championship interest that will inevitably increase. Similar to what is happening with Byrne, it was clear to see early on last season that he would become one of the best in the league, we didn't want to know and now championship teams are offering money that we can't really afford to spend.

Take a wild guess, Ziggy. With instant media comes the instant player. A couple of decent games and Dack is destined for Primera Liga and Adkins and the board are all terrible at what they do because they aren't signing this wonder-kid based on 180 minutes of football. I can guarantee that 95% demanding his signing, like me had never heard of him before we played them. He's not just on the scene and 19 like Adams, a few games in the first team and making an impact, he's 21 with quite a few games under his belt. If he's still a name on everybody's lips in 6 months time, he might be worth looking at.

Wish it was that easy

We can make all the right noises, but it's down to what the player wants more than down to what we want

This I true, but players are often swayed by the person who makes the most effort to sign them or shows the most intent.

They like to feel wanted, bless em.

By that point his price will have doubled. You can't always scout someone over months and months to decide if they are a worthy acquisition. Speculate to accumulate etc.

By that point I predict the goals have dried up, the flash-in-a-pan form has evaporated and there will be no transfer talk.

EDIT:

If I was going to scout anybody from Gillingham it would be Osadebe. He's the player making them tick at the moment.

Well then he wouldn't still be "a name on everybody's lips", would he?

That's why I'm saying scout him out first. Plenty of players arrive at a new season with a flourish of form, everyone takes notice and they're a 'must' signing, only to have faded out by December.

It's as bad as signing players after a good tournament. Karel Poborsky for Man Utd as an example.

My point exactly. The scenario you are describing there is what's happening with Byrne now, a situation we need to avoid if we want to sign Dack.

I am not sure he is the type of midfielder we need to be honest. How did he get on last season?

Do we really want a rapist's mate at our club Jean Hatchett will love that, heard he is a bit of a wanker too ;)

................ maybe we should run it by John Holland and DBL Logistic's first.
