Fuck it. I don't want to care anymore.

This is a football club where nothing is ever solved.

Just the same shit over and over and over again.

What was the waffle we had the other year "We don't have to sell our young players anymore" or some PR shite.

Honestly this club does not deserve us as supporters, the amount bullshit we have to put up with is unreal.

To those unhappy with the decision to sell an unimportant squad player for more than he's worth, I say just give it until the end of the transfer window before slating the decision too much. I know we've been here before but it appears to be different this time - we're selling with a view to re-investment, it's what the manager wants, we clearly need to fund 3 or 4 signings. We're not just selling for the sake of selling.

It was different last time. This is identical to what happened last season.

In general I'd agree with the sentiment but when you say unimportant squad player I think some would disagree with that. If we do get £2m for an unimportant squad player I can't wait till we start selling the important ones.

To be selling him now must mean CW has something lined up, you don't sell without having plans, and as such, we have to trust him. I think Adams simply does not fit into the kind of football CW wants to play. If (and it's a big if) CW gets the money then hopefully we can complete the squad rebuild. If it's a case of looking at the bigger picture and selling to benefit the push to get out of this league then again we have to trust it's the right thing to do. But if no money is forthcoming and the required signings aren't made then we have been mugged once again haven't we. Fingers crossed eh .....

personally speaking the writing was on the wall last season when Adams was included in the u21 s cup final.
CW turned up to watch and Adams didn't just have a bad game he didn't try a fucking leg .......

Football logic doesn't work like that though. We couldn't give half our team away when we got relegated but someone was prepared to pay good money for Slew.

There is a difference between not having to sell and selling becuase a player wants to go and "further his career."

if Adams wants to leave, we could say no... and he rots in the reserves casuing disharmony and trouble (he was causing trouble last season hence his "deselecting himself" thus robbing a wage preventing us from filling the no9 shirt...

or we can get the best money for him (a player who has bagged I think 11 league goals in 46 games (34 from starts) jeez thats Chris Porter's rate of Scoring... was Chris Porter worth nearly £2m... its only his age and potential whcih has given him this tag... (there is a chance he may become the next Jags or Walker...(Sell on Clause inserted in case) however there is more of a chance he will become the next Slew, Leee Morris, Etc....

barring a handful of games he has done nothing to warrent special status.

There will be no meltdown today...

... If / when we fail to beat Rochdale and Southend next week though....,

Basically Wilder has said that even without selling Adams money was available, the way I heard it was that he hadn't really spent much of the budget and as such had quite a bit to play with. He wants rid of the wallaces and Woolford and he wants a player who can take change a game , I took it as meaning he's still looking for somebody with a bit of magic? Grant ward was mentioned but he's obviously now at Ipswich. We'll see, I should learn not to get my hopes up....but I don't.

Brilliant piece of business as long we invest properly.

Our fans make me laugh.
Adams was at best very ordinary last season. He clearly has talent but his decision making was poor.
He has potential but no where near worth over 1 million.
Adams is one for the future but we don't have the luxery to plan for the future.

We NEED promotion this season not in a few years time.

We no longer need to sell anyone to balance the books, those days are gone.
I've heard we will be bringing in new players to improve the team.

It's not rocket science but surely this is good business
if we can bring in a new GK, centre defender and partner in midfield for Fleck.

Suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens regards the reinvestment.

They came to an arrangement with Hammond and paid him up, so why not with Woodford and the Wallaces?...if the money is there....are they still holding out in the hope someone comes in for them?

Maybe Wallace's and Woolford, dont want to do a deal, maybe they are happy picking up a wage and not having to do much??

The wallaces are on peanuts so I don't think it really makes a difference, Woolford will be on a large wage but I doubt anyone will come in for him. We'll end up paying him off.

It is only good business if we strengthen the team on the back of this sale. If not we have just made ourselves weaker but put some money back in Kevs pocket.

Adams wouldn't have been a squad player though, that is plain and utter bullshit. He is twice the player Done is from the left flank so I worry big time if Wilder thinks Done is a better option than Adams.

Adams going would mean we haven't got one left midfielder and to not have that at this stage is ridiculous.

I couldn't give a fuck about the fee either as I will guarantee that the player we bring in, if we do bring one in, will not be a better player who can change a game like Adams, he did this in some big games like Spurs and Swindon in the playoffs.

When he came on Saturday he did more in 2 mins than Done did in the whole match, he got the ball turned and beat three men straight away, don't get me wrong, nothing came of it but it's that spark in games that we're going to need at times this season, Done couldn't beat a fucking egg and should only play if he's up top.

Oh well, we should be used to this now, what I don't get is that it's apparently been on the cards for a while, why not just fucking sort it before we kick a ball? It feels like someone from the club put the feelers out weeks ago, seen some of the reaction that our fans think he's only a squad player, seen how much we lacked creativity on Saturday and thought fuck it, lets sell him.

They've turned me into a reyt cynical twat and i couldn't turn the chance away of a meltdown. :D

I think this is a genuine 50/50 transfer where both clubs can claim it's a good deal . Both can argue they have got the better deal because valid arguments can be made for both sides. Imo although I don't like losing good players that's all he was , good sporadically . A good fee for someone who has potential but its up to him which club ends up doing the better out of the deal ! I sincerely hope we do reinvest the money and then we hopefully get to see first hand next season how much he has progressed !
As ever UTB

James Wallace is apparently one of the best payed professionals* at the club and therefore in League One.

*I almost put "players". That would have been a mistake. You've got to actually play to get that description.

To get 1.9m for him , after scoring 11 goals in 22 months at the club is pure genius in terms of development
will he get better , possibly
will he become legend , wouldnt bank on it

I'm willing to wait and see who Wilder brings in with the cash, because on this occasion it was the managers decision to sell and not the board for a change, but Che has still been undersold. Best English striker under the age of 21 outside of the top two divisions and we have fans thinking we've got good money for him.

I would suggest they need to look around at the type of fees being thrown about for young English potential (not even necessarily talent) and reconsider.
