It’s a good job this kind of lack of imagination did not stop us signing Ndiaye.Surely this is "one for the future" if we are going down this route he is 18 and scored once in the EFL league trophy after playing part of a season in League 2. Can't see him being anywhere near the first team and would be more chance of a signing him and loaning him back to Swindon to let the deal go through, although the reported fee of £1.5mill seems a bit steep for realistically a player that doesn't exactly have the pedigree, his cv reads.. an Iraqi international born in London ex QPR academy reject playing for Swindon....
It’ll be one for the academy but they won’t get near 1.5 I’d imagine he’s only been there two years so I can’t see a tribunal awarding them anywhere near that figure. Clubs might pay a premium to get him now rather than go to tribunal next summer but I can’t see that getting anywhere near 1.5Surely this is "one for the future" if we are going down this route he is 18 and scored once in the EFL league trophy after playing part of a season in League 2. Very true, it is one of them, for every Ndiaye there are 15 Jordan Slew types that don't make it.It’s a good job this kind of lack of imagination did not stop us signing Ndiaye.
We sold Slew for £1.1m whilst still a teenager.Very true, it is one of them, for every Ndiaye there are 15 Jordan Slew types that don't make it.
True although be making a £400,000 loss, if the figures rumoured on this one are to be believed. If that same figure was achievedWe sold Slew for £1.1m whilst still a teenager.
You could make the same argument to never pay a transfer fee ever.True although be making a £400,000 loss, if the figures rumoured on this one are to be believed. If that same figure was achieved

Seeing as you’re being so pedantic, £1.1m in 2011 would be worth £1.6m now, so a small profit.True although be making a £400,000 loss, if the figures rumoured on this one are to be believed. If that same figure was achieved
It was also in League One where it was rare for players to leave for more than £2mil back then. We sold Maguire for less than that and he was one of the best centre backs in the division.Seeing as you’re being so pedantic, £1.1m in 2011 would be worth £1.6m now, so a small profit.
I’m not entirely sure what point you’re trying to make but you’re failing.

Last info I could find he’d netted once in 12 appearances for <18’s (as a 16 year old)
The point of the original matter is that not every 18 year old will turn into a Ndiaye although this kid is a gamble at a rumoured £1.5mill it is a bigger gamble than a self nurturing academy player. It could be all irreverent anyway as it’s not like pen to paper has happened yetSeeing as you’re being so pedantic, £1.1m in 2011 would be worth £1.6m now, so a small profit.
