seems unfair that he didn't get a proper booing when substituted like Hammond & Woolford.

Was it cos he was so close to the touch line and there wasn't enough time to get into it?

How can I finish my booing - I feel cheated.

Was anyone on the pitch, did they do a lap of honour. Or did billy come out on his own. On the pitch, not out of the closet, I know what you lot are like.

Hammond is one of most disgraceful ness players ever to play for us along with sammon both are a disgrace

Looked to me like he flat out gave up today.

Very good first half, but asked to do a job for the team second half, played like it was beneath him.
In the list of priorities of what needs to be fixed with the team, Coutts is no where near the top.

As good a footballer (technically) as we have, even though he isn't fantastic. Put a proper aggressive, physically dominant CM next to him in CM and see the difference. Sadly our version of this has been Dean fucking Hammond.

Did you Boo ?

Yes I did and they deserved it as well for that gutless so called performance .......

They also deserved the choruses of "you're not fit to wear the shirt" that they got .......

What they didn't deserve was ..... paying !!! ( except for Baptiste who must surely be thinking "my god I'm never playing with this bunch of fu**inf no hopers again !!! )

Coutts isn't good enough to warrant picking a midfield around him. At this level a bit of running about on his behalf would do fine.

So basically he can fork off with the rest of them.

It looked to me like he gave up today.

A year left on his contract(?), our main/only creative player.

Presuming Hammond's fate was sealed today, then Coutts might be our biggest (player) problem.

What's the alternative if you want to show them that midtable isn't good enough?

Don't cheer.
Don't clap.
Don't sing.
Be in the car / pub before the final whistle to avoid the temptation to Boo at the final whistle.
Stand at the back with you back to goal if you must.

Booing is a cultural cancer at English football stadia and BDTBL has become its Mecca.

Does it help the players or management during a game / after a game ?

Does it make our club more appealing to prospective players in the future (players talk you know) ?

I'm not here to gain points or anything but I seriously question the role our fans have played this last few seasons and would cite it as a reason (clearly not the only one) as to why we are where we are.

The atmosphere has gone toxic very quickly. There is a them and us mentality and it's clearly affecting the players.

Mid table IS NOT fucking good enough. Not in a month of Sunday's.

But sulking about it will achieve fuck all.

It's got to the stage where I would much rather share an empty stadium of 3000 fans that could actually manage to control their emotions such that there wasn't a constant dark cloud of negativity over the ground every time we play. It's become obvious that some fans, WHATEVER happens, are just looking to come to the ground and vent.

Booing is bollocks. Period.

I didn't stay behind to boo anyone, but if Mr. Coutts wants to come round to my house later I'll happily waterboard the living daylights out of him.
If he brings his mates Hammond and Woolford I'll give them a turn too, the useless meatsacks.

I would have happily stayed behind to boo them on the lap of shame, and I was going to make a clean and tasteful banner that read "farewell to our out of contract players and some of their team-mates" .......

But then I found out that the players kids were going to be going round with them and I decided it wasn't fair on the kids.

Bad enough for them to see their dad was shit on the pitch, without witnessing first hand being booed on the lap of shame !!

Goodbye and good riddance to most of our senior squad ........ you will not be missed

I've not really got the patience or inclination to write them a strongly worded letter that they won't have the means to understand. I'd rather hope that they hear my encouraging shouts of "You're not the type of player we need or like, please either show some more endeavour or find alternative employment, preferably on another continent."

None of what you have said actually lets the players know that fans find it unacceptable. I agree about booing during a game but there's nothing wrong when it's justified at the end of a match or today's walk around. They are highly paid professionals who haven't warranted the money they have earned this year. If they can't take a bit of deserved critisism then they shouldn't be playing. They milk the applause when it's given, they should take the flack when it's deserved. Whether you like it or not. It has been justified at times this season

Well said.

He deserved booing. He's an absolute bottler.
Sherbert dip.

Do you accept that his role in the side is not to go flying in to tackles ?
Do you also accept that flying in to tackles, given the rules of the modern game, is not usually a great idea if you want to stay on the pitch ?

Just wondering like.

if only there was a dislike button.

This nonsense that the fans are part of the reason the players are performing badly is rubbish. The fans are rightly furious that the team is full of gutless, underperforming, players with no leadership skills. Give us a half decent team and we will back them.

Personally, I never boo them but I think the fans have every right to this year.
