Could this kid adapt his game and play a more advanced role??
We need a new Lunny?
We needed a back up right back, but yeah...£10 million....or so, we could’ve got a decent midfielder for that
My view is that neither Bogle nor Lowe was seen as a here and now player but solid younger cover for George and Enda. Only the loss of O’Connell and Enda’s up and down season both with form and fitness has made Lowe a starter.
they were bought with one eye on a championship campaign next season imoMy view is that neither Bogle nor Lowe was seen as a here and now player but solid younger cover for George and Enda. Only the loss of O’Connell and Enda’s up and down season both with form and fitness has made Lowe a starter.
Why not play him as a right sided attacking midfield?Another good game. Granted the opposition wasn’t a great standard but he doesn’t half get in some good positions going forward. Yet to be tested properly defensively I don’t think, but the way he gets forward on the ball and how he attacks space in the box off the ball reminds me of Kieron Freeman at his best in League One. Baldock’s been one of our better players this season, and has been great for us since signing, but is the shirt now Bogle’s to lose? We need a player like him if we’re going to score more and create more.
I just wonder if when Baldock is back fit whether Bogle could fill the Lundstram position, he gets into some great positions and when you look back to our goals form last season midfield contributed a goodly number and we are sadly missing those this year, he seems to have a good engine to play box to box. Be interesting to see how he developsAnother good game. Granted the opposition wasn’t a great standard but he doesn’t half get in some good positions going forward. Why not play him as a right sided attacking midfield?
He is talented so could maybe improve overall to fill that spot.I’ve thought about it, and I think I’ve advocated for it on here in recent weeks, but the more I watch the more I’m not sure it’d suit him. He’s much better being the one over-lapping, or the one following in around the back. I don’t think his game suits the slightly more congested midfield area where the RCM, ideally, is the one unlocking the space and bringing in others. I’m not totally ruling it out, but I’d sooner keep him in the position where he’s played well for us. His attacking runs will help out massively whoever plays RCM.
I’d definitely be up for Wilder trying it to see if it could work. I think he needs to be in the starting XI.He is talented so could maybe improve overall to fill that spot.
Unless we bring someone in I cannot see a better solution
He's got the shirt for me now, it should be motivation for George to win it back.Another good game. He doesn’t pass the ball well enough to play there imo. He’s at his best running at a man one on one out wide. The speed at which he can move his feet in tight spaces is a problem for whoever has to challenge him. To ask him to dictate a game from midfield where your range of passing and vision are more important than being able to beat a man would be unfair on him imo.He is talented so could maybe improve overall to fill that spot.

Perhaps I am showing my age, but to me this position is the old inside right who would be expected to be running at defences. He doesn’t pass the ball well enough to play there imo. It depends it could be played that way but probably not with the other two midfielders we have right now who look immobile and who are themselves struggling to move the ball effectively. If you wanted to push bogle further forward it would have to be as part of a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3.Perhaps I am showing my age, but to me this position is the old inside right who would be expected to be running at defences.
Being able to pass especially through the defence is needed but the other two midfielders can do that job
5-2-1-1-1 ?
What a waste of money, someone we definitely didn’t need to sign
