Bogle and Lowe

Bogle I'll go with. Lowe is in my opinion not at the level. For me, and I might be in a majority of 1, Kean Bryan has to be given far more game time. I believe he would be our best option for the rest of the season and next

Feel a bit sad because I genuinely feel it’s a changing of the guard in both RWB and LWB positions. Enda and George have been vital for us over the years and it’ll be sad to see them demoted but Bogle is a menace and is scoring goals. Lowe has a way to go yet but Enda has been terrible since March 2020.

Ben Osborn has been our best LWB this season. The shirt should be his when he's back.

Too small a sample size from either player to know whose better, though Bryan has looked better id say this season. Worth remembering he's looked not-so-great whenever weve seen him previously though. Takes time sometimes.

I really, really like Bogle as a player.

Bogle is developing into some player for us. Young, energetic, confident, tricky and has an eye for goal. Doesn’t mind getting stuck in either.

He’s definitely what can be classed as a modern wing-back.

Bogle outstanding. What a prospect at only 20. Constantly getting into the box, running direct at goal. No comparison with George in that position, we need quality and composure, and only one of them has it.

Agreed. One of the drawbacks of the system we play is that it's harder for players to adapt to, combine with that the step up to the Prem and the brutal situation the side has been in and it's a lot to ask to rely on Lowe. Not saying I think he is or will be up to the job but he's one of the players (along with Brewster) that I'm passing judgement on for the time being.

Both Bogle and Lowe both love to run with the ball and take a player on, which I think is a real asset. They’re young and play with no fear and Premier League defenders hate it, most of them can’t or don’t like to tackle and the chaos it causes is something we can exploit.

Without being Lionel Messi, 2nd half Basham jinks past 3 or 4 defenders, Lowe did it too, so did Fleck and it creates openings, pulls players out of position and presents goal scoring opportunities.

That’s the way we finished ninth and it’s the only way we’ll pull off a miracle escape, up and at ‘em!

I had a look at the time and the consensus seemed to be Lowe wouldn’t play consistently at prem level and they were excited to see the young lad Buchanan get game time on the left. Whereas bogle had the potential to do it and was exceptional the year before although he dropped off after Lampard left.

If Lowe goes on to become a great player for us and makes that spot his own it will be an exceptional bit of coaching/player development by United because he’s been nothing other than solid elsewhere.

Just to bring some down to earth, we might need to stay up because if we get relegated i can see Prem clubs taking Bogle of us before Baldock, seriously.

Lowe will be 2nd or 3rd choice in the Championship if we get relegated, if we stay in the Prem he needs a loan move.

Frustrating in the first half when he attacked at LWB that he didn’t have the confidence to cross with his left foot and turned back onto his right. Think he made up for that with his confident left foot goal (although if we’d conceded it, it would have been a “could have gone anywhere” type shot)

He seems to be nickname free so far, except for us, Mrs Trig Jnr (TY) called him Bogs on his debut and it’s juvenile enough for us to have stuck with it

I haven’t seen enough of Lowe yet to really be able to comment.
Bogle on the other hand just has something about him. He’s technically very good on the ball, skilful and pacey. Yes there may be question marks over him defensively but he’s scored goals since he’s been given a chance. We’ve struggled to score all season so having player who isn’t a striker who can contribute is massive. We need to attack for the rest of the season, I think this lad is going to be a big player for the remaining games. He starts for me, he makes things happen.

Bogle's not so much a wing back as a wing front. He's brilliant, his performances have lifted the whole team.

Bogles one of those players you would hate to coach. A bit of a free spirit. Just pops up any part of the pitch he feels like... Maybe why taken him so long to get a look in, but definitely something we needed.

I don't want to be too negative, but I was calling for Bogle to be put in the side all season to give us something different. It was clear we had to sacrifice a bit of our defence (Baldock is the better defender) in order to be more creative going forwards.

Wilder never even put him on the bench. What an earth was going on?

Burke too. Even in his short cameos at the beginning of the season it was clear he could give us an added dimension. Even if you don't subscribe to him being a good footballer (I think he's a quality player waiting to happen) then you must have been able to see that his pace & strength was worrying teams? But we persisted with lumping it up to McBurnie.

They said that they are both promising going forward....but both are dodgy at defending.
However our 3 centre back system will help them because we have our left and right sided centre backs ready to cover and help out with defensive/ fullback duties.

I’ll say this quietly, but If and when we do succumb to relegation. The positives for the development of players like Bogle, Lowe and also Brewster, Burke and yes Ramsdale would be immense.

Bogle is an interesting one he seems to pop up in really advanced positions, Loves to cut inside which throws other teams off because we normally play to the byline and cross. At the same time he has the pace to recover, George is great and undoubtedly better at defending but is more cautious and predictable. All in all the right hand side of defence is not an issue moving forward.

Is it only me who thinks Bogle is better suited to midfield with Baldock defending behind him ?
Could Lundstram play in the centre of midfield ?

I actually think Kean Bryan has the best cross in the squad, just no-one knows it yet
