Unlike most grounds visited that season we didn't have it all our own way that day

Think you're right, given the presence of 'the stain', don't think he was there in the glory season.

Correction. Ma Corker gave me dad's centenary programme at the weekend (Reading) and the picture of the 4th Division Champions team is 'that picture', stain included. Lots of great stuff in the programme - match video available (tick VHS or Beta), half time scoreboard letters (remember that?) and a 6-1 victory against Chester earlier in the season, with Deane and Agana both bagging hat tricks. Brings back memories of Hatton and Edwards doing the same.

The picture is from the start of the 1982 -83 season , we won div 4 in 1981 -82$_57.jpg
