To be fair to him I loved to bloke until Byrne tore him apart in that playoff game, he's never been the same player since.

He's still a step up on what i've seen of Hussey so far mind, but his hip is knackered and we've spent too long carrying crocks as it is.

I thought it was just me who liked TMac! We've not had a right back who can stop a cross since.

Oh I didn't like him! But I knew we wouldn't get a more solid right back in L1. And right now I think we'd settle for solid, such is the state of our defence. He also took a decent set piece and is a nasty fucker who can unsettle opponents.

It's not unusual for free agents to train with their former clubs and if he's actually fit then having him around might not be a bad thing.

The way Adkins threw Harris straight in the team when he was nowhere near match fit and dumped Wallace last season was ridiculous and did nobody any good, loaning him out then immediately switching to wing-backs was another of the many stupid things Adkins did all season.

Nobody should be giving him a long-term deal, but if he's not got a club when the transfer window closes he'd be a short-term option if we need a left back. Harris at his worst is still better than Hussey so far (I still think he was unfairly blamed for Swindon, he had no support on the left side and was left completely exposed).
