Good news ,I like the look of him ,although does he know he is signing for the Bramall Lane graveyard position ? Left back has always been our weak link.

Finalise permanent deal today

Also no signings today :(

Would've liked a decent striker

#sufc boss NC not planning to do any business today, except finalising a permanent deal for Bob Harris.

Have faith 58, agree we need a decent target figure, but maybe short term Paynter will provide qualities Porter lacks. Also, we haven't seen Scougall for a full 90 minutes yet, so curious to see the extent of his influence. Although a promising debut, be a good idea to judge the lad over the next 6-8 appearances, got high hopes for him though. As Cloughie's stated, he wants to bring in the right player, not just anyone. .........surely never classed as a weak link, look at his beautiful hair for starters.

The first recipient in football of a red card at Portsmouth wasn't he ?

Are you sure ,I was there but I struggle to remember last week tbh ,and I was pissed from the football special ,but I thought it was further up the pitch.

I wasn't there Sitters but it's something I distinctly remember listening to on the RS commentary where it was described as the first red for deliberate handball, .... and I was sober. Having said that, it could have been one of those where Garner absent mindedly stuck his hand up to stop the ball from reaching an opponent and it could well have happened further up the pitch.

So, in conclusion - you are probably right then - where's Darren when you need him, eh?

Best if go and lie down, I think

As I recall it was a through ball that would have put a Portsmouth player clean through and Garner caught it - so not on the line.

You see - he's the Oracle!

That's absolutely right Darren - thank you so much for confirming that Sitters was not as pissed as he first imagined.

Off to Fleetwood for the rest of the season according to Mike `Strappy` Stephenson.
Seems McEveley has the shirt from now on in.

Oh thank God.
I thought this was something I read last night just before listening to an awful game we played against Bury. It must all have been a nightmare I had.
So looking forward to tonight's game are there any pay on the day tickets coz I might go?

Whispering Bob pinging balls up to Shola Ameobi, who'd have thought.
Always liked Bob, not the greatest defender but what this team's lacking at the moment, a bit of fight. Collins and McEveley continue to be half of our back four......
Indeed - plus we swapped him for McMahon which by the standards of our recent transfer dealings was a tactical materstroke.

Defensively, I always have my heart in my mouth with Bob. That said, at the moment he's no worse than the rest of them. Plus he could take a decent free-kick, something we are badly lacking atm.

Still, meh.
