bloody hell refs

That ref was an absolute disgrace today. Gave Bournemouth lots of shitty niggly fouls, missed the ball going out of play for a throw to us at least 3 times (linos as well?) then the ‘penalty’. How much did they pay him off for a performance like that?

do we have to be sttacked with a machete or a sawn off shot gun to be given a penalty

Their defender kicked. Gibbs White balls up into his throat

and that after the assault at Stoke not seen apparently

More experimental free verse?

william. carlos Williams. is. Proper envious Of your mastery o. F. the form

Refs should be made to explain their decisions instead of being allowed to slink off with no repercussions.

Otherwise fans will be left with the feeling the ref was biased at best or on the take at worse.

That so-called ref today was a disgrace.

The last time I saw a ref explain himself was the Gerrard pen in the opening game in 06. Andy Durso?

I sometimes wonder if giving the ref a lot of grief in the game is counterproductive.
With tight calls like that one, he made the wrong call by maybe not wanting to appear influenced by the crowd.

But in this case all he did was confirm the sentiment of “you’re not fit to referee”.
It made his afternoon that all the home fans noticed him. Jumped up little prick.

That linesman was an absolute joke as well. 2 throw ins and then a blatant offside where MGW must have come back from 10 yards offside. He missed fouls and flagged for none fouls. Cunt

I posted earlier we needed a strong ref...........we got a piss poor one - again!
The Championship refs are a joke..........and promotion to the Premiership wont hinge on who the best team is, but a referee - which sad, given the last two howlers against us (RND at Stoke & MGW today............where he was 10 yards away and blatant - FFS?)

I thought that Bournemouth player Smith got away with a bad one in the first few minutes. There was also a foul in the 2nd half where Billings appeared to take his boot down the heel of Filip Uremovic
That Smith one in the second minute set the tone. We know early bookings aren't liked, but if it was in the 70th minute, it's a booking. The fact he let it go meant he'd already lost control. Enda could have been booked not long after for his tackle on Smith. Two incidents there.

The Billing one on Uremovic would have been harsh as it did appear that he tripped and it was an accident.

Can't help thinking these type of things are going to cost us, Norwoods disallowed goal at Blackpool, the pen today, the pens Bournemouth got that was miles outside the box, probably biased but I can't remember many going our way

Difficult for me to see the raking one. Certainly the Smith 'challenge' was bang in front of us (sat in South Stand Stand).

If Smith had been booked for the foul on Enda (right on the touchline), Enda might not have retaliated a few mins later and some of the subsequent bookings might not have happened. There were a lot of free kicks given for little reason and some missed altogether. Very inconsistent. Smith's diving in the first half was ridiculous as well

There were two occasions where Smith went down very easily. The one where Fleck did the dive gestures and another where MGW walked up to the ref and stood next to the player and clearly said 'he dived again'

Dean Whitestone can add himself to the list. Mike Riley away at West Ham, Darren Bond in the first leg in the playoffs against Swindon. That's my top 3.
No honorable mention for Graham Poll or whoever refused to send off Chris Kirkland at Anfield for deciding he'd just pick the ball up and stop the game? 😉

Classic Championship officials today.

All shite.

The linesman on the South Stand side was not only useless but ridiculously weak

Time and time again O'Neil blocked his view by standing on the touchline and neither he nor the 4th official said anything.

When the ball was miles out you could read his lips saying 'I couldn't see'
