Peck/T.Davies replace him until January. Sign two left wingers in January and Hamer then gets moved to CM.

But hopefully Blaster is actually okay.

Sign two LW ?
We have Burrows , McCallum , RND , Brooks , JRS , Campbell who could play there , plus Hamer & O'Hare whom CW has put there this season.

Seriously hope we repay the favour back on that goblin at the sty if this is true.

I'm afraid I dont have much confidence in Davies. Think he'll turn out to be another Brewster. He's not really played for 21/2 years and each time hes come on for a few minutes he then disappears again presumably with some recurrent injury. Really hope I'm wrong.

Would be a huge blow if he’s out for the season (let’s see) but it’s a position where we do have some options.

Immediate one is putting in Peck as a direct replacement and easing Davies in via sub appearances.

I’d personally like to see us try Hamer in central midfield alongside Souza for a couple of (probably home) games. It would make us less solid but we might see more chances. if we move o’hare out to the left in Hamer’s potion then that lets us play Campbell or new Jan striker and Moore together. Has the advantage of maximising Hamer’s ball time (him and Souza should dominate most midfields in this league) and also creates a nice little triangle on the left of burrows, Hamer and O’hare which could be devastating. If we played Seriki and JRS on the right we’d have serious threats on both sides, as well as two up top. We’d give up more chances though.

If Blaster is out for the season , my best wishes to him + I hope he can recover to his previous level & trajectory - he has so much potential.
No doubt it is a blow to us , but at least we have some MF players of similar ability to put in.

There are other players in our first eleven who would be much harder to replace and whose absence would be more likely to derail our season.

It could have been worse , so let's hope this is our only long-term one.

I don’t understand why in recent years , particularly under Hecky , our club has become so secretive about the nature and possible effects of injuries to our players .

Other clubs throughout the leagues including PL ones consistently issue open and accurate statements about injuries to their players and the possible consequences , a typical example being “ Marcus Rashford has sustained an injury to his calf muscle and will not be back in training for at least a month “

What is to gained by us not being equally open and honest to supporters in such matters ?

This only leads to speculation going from one extreme to the other that he may not play again this season or that , as some have even predicted , he may be fit enough to play against Coventry .

I know from a good source what the situation is and don’t understand why other fans should not be made aware of it.

Because there hasn’t been a press conference yet? Sorry Chris just pause your well earned holiday/training session you’re running and come and tell these nosey bastards some information they have no need to know.

Feel for him. His trajectory has been unbelievable - probably more so than any of our academy players.

As others have said we have plenty of options but his presence, being a blade, is not easily replaceable.

Davies coming back and Peck playing as he does doesn't concern me massively. Hamer in the DM pivot is a great option.

Id be more worried about Campbell or one of Anel/Harry being injured tbh.

I suppose between games they would like the opposition to be guessing.

At the moment I’d nothing is confirmed then Coventry may be expecting Arblaster to play.

Now I know that would only impact one game but I suppose that might be the thinking.

Not that to me that is overly significant.

Sad but not entirely unexpected news.

Hope he returns to full fitness and we see him again this season. He’s been a bright spot this season and his emergence was last season too.

9 matches now until the January Transfer Window opens.

It makes it even more imperative now that we make the window count.

If we could get Brereton-Diaz back then that would give us a formidable line up. Souza and Hamer, behind JRS, O’Hare and BBD with Moore up top.

For now we have a couple of options.

I’d imagine Peck, massively buoyed by his England bow, will step in.

As mentioned by others, hopefully if Peck can step into Arblaster’s shoes, then Davies can step into Peck’s and we still have some quality.

There is the possibility of Hamer and then Campbell coming in from the left. Also looks a strong line up.

We could certainly do with not losing any more players now.

But someone like BBD would be an excellent addition.

Not sure if you are being serious, but if you are…

Clubs have limited resources when it comes to analysts and coaching staff. So if we can waste the time of the upcoming opposition staff by having them prepare for a player that won’t play, we take that opportunity. See the bluff Moore interview pre the derby match. Why would we surrender even a tiny percentage of a potential advantage to us/disadvantage to them, all because fans want to know something that has little material impact on them?

Worst case, we will find out whether he is fit at 2pm tomorrow. Then in the post match, Wilder will be asked about it, if he’s indeed not made the squad.

Very sad for him and with Moore probably out too for a bit it's going to take some effort to keep up the 2 points a game tally

Moore probably out? Not saying you are wrong but we've not heard anything have we? I was presuming/hoping that after the break he would be back for the Coventry game.
