Blasters Knee

I remember having physio on my knee a few years ago and the physiotherapist saying that many All Blacks players barely have much left of their ACLs but it didn't really matter because they'd got that much muscle around their legs and knees that it didn't really matter.
I find shit like that fascinating.

On an unrelated/ perhaps related note, I saw Nigel Pearson (ex pig) on Abbeydale Road a few weeks ago walking with a stick. Not sure what’s caused that but he was one hard bastard when he played and as well

I tore my ACL in a motorbike accident 46 years ago, they didn't repair them then, so I had to build up my muscle in the knee to compensate. What it has done though is wear away the Meniscus and just had a full knee replacement. ACL can be a very serious injury, but modern medicine and techniques have vastly improved the prognosis. Has anyone actually any concrete evidence that he has indeed done his ACL?
Good job it wasn’t your champers drinking arm that you injured!

The keyhole surgery and techniques used are incredible now. I think they still prefer to leave a tear as long as it’s not too bad and the first rupture I had they did have a long conversation with me, perhaps because that one was on the NHS

Second one the Swiss surgeon just wanted to get me back skiing… even though I’d only ever done dry slope as a kid. I just said I wanted to play football again and he said that was easy. In fairness I’ve learnt to ski since and it’s physically as good as it ever was. The muscle on the quad wastes quickly if I don’t keep training, but that’s because of taking the middle of the tendon as a donor for the ligament when they grafted it back on

I’ve still got the 2cm piece of ACL that they took out from the first one in a container 😂

Not seen any confirmation on Blaster btw

I’ve thought since his early Everton days that there’s a very good player in there.

But he’s had shit luck with injuries, he’s as fragile as the top of a Crème Brûlée
can remember him playing against us at the lane for everton in the premier league and he dominated midfield he will fit in well with vinni while ollie is out imo

Any news on Blasters knee? My son has seen a picture of him in a knee brace which is hopefully just a precaution.

He was having a great game b4 he went off and they clearly targeted him with the rough stuff. Fingers crossed he's OK
20 years old, first full season and getting reoccurring knee injuries does not bode well for the future. Wilder has indirectly contributed to this by making him captain, therefore creating a burden upon the player by making him feel he has to be playing come what may.

Wilder hasn't contributed to this at all. The lad jarred his knee ffs.

Aye and if it wasn't for the pigeons on the pitch 2 years ago maybe he wouldn't have slipped on their fossilised shit and jarred his knee. Damn pigeons and Wilder

New poster.
Made 5 posts this week all criticising CW.
I wonder what rattled him sow much?

Maybe I'm being naive, but I think like Vini Souza Davies can be a real asset in the Championship. If he stays fit that is, of course.
It’s not naive, I don’t even think it’s controversial to say if Davies is fully fit he’d be an improvement right now on Arblaster. What’s naive is to assume he’s going to be fully fit for a sustained period of time but if he can get there then it’s good for us, him and Oli.

Not controversial, but probably wrong.

Bit of lineage of injury prone ex-Toffees with John Ebbrell, James Wallace and now him.

Trust you kicked his stick away and kidney punched him as he fell

If he hadn't have taken up football as a kid, he wouldn't be injured now. Stupid football

I’m not Wilders biggest fan but I think you’re way off beam with that one

It’s become apparent in the past week that pig fans are obsessed with Arblaster and probably rate him even higher than our own fans.

The above post being further proof of this.

Any more rumours on Blasters injury? I heard from someone who knows someone who knows Olis mum that he's out for the season with an ACL 🤔

That’s funny and I don’t mean to take anything away…..but I’’m blaming his mum.

Congratulations. You have just won today's most stupid comment on social media award. Which is an achievement given the amount of farmers there are crying on various platforms today. You can collect your prize of a left handed screwdriver from your local hardware store. Good work Batman 👍

Probably in case he ever has to fight off a pack of wolves again😉

Been told this morning Oli had an opp early this week not be back in training until April / May time at earliest.. pretty good source close to the family ☹️
Sad news for the player & us if true. Really feel for him.

Only positive I can think of ….is that because of that long term injury, pretty certain that he will still be with us for the 2025/26 season as no one will want to gamble on him until they know he is fit.
