Too many Blades fans (and Managers) have underrated Billy Sharp - placing too much emphasis on his goal-tally (which should not be in question anyhow) and not appreciating what he brings to the team with his work-ethic, intelligent movement, constant thorn-in-the-backside of defenders and psychological boost to both team and fans etc (let's not forget the psychology also of opposing players and fans). James Beattie, on the other hand, was overrated here by both fans and Manager. So many imagine that Billy's previous stints with us were not good enough and consequently we lost him to lesser clubs who subsequently performed better than us. Billy is truly the "Beating Heart" of this club and we leave him out at our peril - Ok, he's not getting any younger and needs to be rested in order to avoid burn-out, but the inclination should always be to get him on that team-sheet if at all possible.
