Seeing since we love to predict home attendance figures and most likely tomorrow will be our lowest attended game in premier League history.

How many people will watch the first game back on TV after the pl break?

I wouldn't be surprised if over 300million will watch / stream. Tomorrow we are breaking both records.

If it is the most watched PL match ever, it will probably only be for a couple of hours. City Arse will top it.

In the UK, nine matches last season had 2 million viewers or more (but not much more)

I’m guessing our previous low would have been a trip to Oldham or Wimbledon in the early 90s, but they must have been higher than 300. Surely.

More people will watch the Palace Burnley game on the BBC than this. Not sure where the premise that it will be a huge groundbreaking TV audience has come from, certainly when compared to anything which is generally put out on standard TV domestically, or World cups/Champions League and the like internationally.

The record for Sky is 4m for a Manchester derby a few years ago. Thats by a paying audience, and I've read that a typical PL game is estimated to be watched by around 79m worldwide, that includes streams I think.

So even with it being the first game back there's no chance of anywhere near 300m, especially for a midweek teatime game which will be in the wrong timezones to get huge figures in either Europe, the Far East or Americas. Despite the novelty of it being the first game for 3 months it's nowhere near the huge draw that a Man Utd or Liverpool is or would be.

Oddly, the highest ever "official" viewing figures in the UK for a Premier League game will probably be set on Saturday for Bournemouth v Palace.

If this was on free to air I'd agree, but SKY viewing figures aren't particularly huge in comparison with normal TV.
Isn't the record around 4 Million? We could potentially beat that but it's nowhere near the 30 Million for BBC/ITV for football.

These were the figures for the UK. Globally I imagine the audience would have been around 10 million based on the viewing data for other popular matches.
