I was talking in the pub the other day about how many of the 92 league teams the Blades have not played a competitive match against.

I tend to be pretty rubbish about remembering opposition and matches but I thought it was:
Stevenage
Dagenham and Redbridge
Burton Albion (played a friendly?)
Cheltenham (Played a friendly)

Wasn't sure about Yeovil, Barnet or Accrington Stanley

How wrong am I?

Of the current league clubs, United have not played the following teams in a competitive fixture:

Barnet
Yeovil Town
Accrington Stanley
Dagenham and Redbridge
Aldershot Town (though we played the old Aldershot that went bust in 1992)
Burton Albion
Stevenage Borough

We played Cheltenham in the 3rd round of the FA Cup in 2003.

In a horrifically serious and depressing question, I wonder how long it will be before that list is shortened?

Serioulsy, that's the anaesthetic to the pain of relegation for me. I'd still rather stay up mind...

We played Boston a few years back. Drew at theirs, won the replay.

We were discussing something similar after the match on Saturday. The one saving grace of our dramatic fall of the late 70's/early 80's was that it allowed supporters of a certain age and inclination the chance to see every team and ground in the country in competitive action.
Those of you that haven't "done the 92" may get the chance sooner than any of us want.

Highlights of the 1-1 draw (FA Cup, 1982-3) can be found on Youtube. Kevin Blackwell was in goal for Boston.
