Retired physciatric nurse 58 years old 16 previous offences. FFS are they sure he's not a physciatric patient not a nurse.
I am married to one, the nights out are fookin amazing it's like being at millwall/wetspam game only with lots more violence

The last sentence is a fucking joke, especially knowing the lad
Yep assuming they've reported all salient information he hasn't actually committed an identifiable crime, he was however assaulted by the police and a police dog.

Years ago that could be classed as threatening behaviour. However, affray is a serious offence. If you plead not guilty and are found guilty, you're probably looking at chokey. Legal blackmail, all discussed with the judge beforehand by both sides.

Am I the only one who couldn't give two hoots about this court case?! If people want to have a fight and get into trouble with opposing fans then I have little sympathy. Far more concerned with Sheffield United.

I'm personally glad these psychopaths won't be attending games in the near future. I'm sick of people shouting and chanting at football matches.

The one that climbed on a wall and the other punched the air should be particularly ashamed of themselves.

Whilst I agree with you mate in terms of those who go looking for it, we should all be concerned how football fans get treated more strictly than anyone else.

A mate is a magistrate and he says the laws around football are archaic.

I hear people say it's easy to avoid trouble, and whilst that's true much of the time, from personal experience I know it's far from a given. Anyone effectively defending themselves from dickheads at football by doing no more than throwing a punch that misses anyway can easily get a 3 year ban and community service (and what other potential knock ons from that regards work etc).

Fair enough regarding your point. I still wish people who attended football matches would leanr how to drink a few beers and enjoy the game as opposed to getting tanked up and then looking or getting into trouble because they see themselves as part of some army supporting United or another football club. We don't need an army we need proper football fans. Saying that I've more sympathy for any fans who get caught up in the moment and out of character do something they later regret as a one off incident. If that's the case then hopefully the judge will be lenient. From the photos they all look young lads so maybe this will be a wake up call.

Just read that now and that does seem a ridiculous comment. From what's being said thus far many of them just seem to be caught up in what was a day out at the seaside, no doubt drank more than they should have and then in the wrong place. I thought that they were all fighting but seems that its more anti social behavior more than anything else and a match where Town fans saw it as a big day that they don't normally have as the two Sheffield sides are very much disliked in Grimsby. I work in Grimsby so I know that they don't like us, whereas we don't care about Town!

I can't comment on anything that happened pre-match, because I was enjoying fish & chips at the other end of the town, but from what I saw unfold after the match, it was caused in the most part by the police directing our fans along the sea wall into an ambush at the level crossing.
