Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere but just came across it today.

Haven't read it, but I guess it goes something like' all fair and above board, no case to answer'. Anyway, it will be fun to see where the money is coming from for the big redevelopment. A4e are apparently linked in with the 'biggest classroom in Europe' idea. That bit may happen anyway but under the North Stand, as I understand it, not in some swanky new leppings end stand. Not a hill of beans...

Annoyingly though what will happen is that if England get the world cup (a massive if in my opinion) sheffield will just get dropped when they reduce the number of grounds down to the final number. I can't say I was particularly bothered whether United bid to be a World Cup ground or not but some of the fight seemed to leave our chairman when we lost out to Hillsboro.
Lets just hope we get a few signings in after 1 July and focus on the only bit that really matters - competing for promotion.

Yup. We were never going to win the World Cup this year. I'm glad we're out of it.

(And I hope all those people flogging tatty 'England merchandise' get left with a load of stock on their hands).
