Would you class Billy or Wilder as blades legends?

Wilder only been here one season but has given us the club back.

Billy has only really been successful on his 3rd attempt at the club, but has helped us to promotion as a captain and has scored over 1/3 of our goals.

But would you class either of them as legends?

People only really seem to be labelled as legends once they retire, or after they die. But whilst they're still here, are they Blades legends?

Anyone who gains us promotion will do for me.

I've long said Sharp had to get promoted with us or be seen as a nearly man in our history. He's no nearly man. :)

I would say Wilder has earned the honour even if it goes pear shaped in the future (which it won't whilst he's at the helm).

I bet Leicester still see Ranieri as a legend after what he did. I know league 1 is a different level, but what Wilder inherited; a crap team, supporters at the lowest ever ebb, everything in disarray, and to turn it around as he has, is beyond any of our wildest expectations (if you'll excuse the pun).

given that this titles enabled us to have won all 4 championship titles this team will be remembered in blades history for that

Played for the club, supported them as a kid, then returns as manager and transforms a club from total shambles to league winners with 3 games to spare....unless you think someone needs to spend a prolonged period at the club I can't see what else he could have done to earn the title Legend.

Legend is thrown about a bit too much for me to be honest, and many seem to earn it with little to justify it. However, the job Wilder has done this season is frankly incredible.

Wilder yes. His service as a player adds to the fact that he resurrected this club.

Our Billy? Definitely. He's the sole reason we didn't get relegated to the 4th division and an essential factor in why we're heading for the Championship.

I'll sit back and wait for half of the forum to catch up on that one...

Only a few managers have achieved promotion with us. And fewer in such style.

Lengendary status from me. :)
