June 14th 1947. Jack Pickering makes a return to the team at the age of 38 and scored the winning goal!Have we ever played a competitive (or even non competitive) match in June? Not that I can recall.
10,000 away fans at Bramall Lane must be a record. We have a good record in June then!June 14th 1947. Jack Pickering makes a return to the team at the age of 38 and scored the winning goal!

Phew! For a minute there I was expecting to see some bird called June getting gangbanged in a hotel in Vegas!
Blades in May - now that would have been newsworthy.Phew! For a minute there I was expecting to see some bird called June getting gangbanged in a hotel in Vegas!
LOL! I was just wondering how I could get a sex and June quip in, but whatever it might have been, it wouldn't have come close to yours Coaxy!!
Had a look at that season, and it is not quite as I imagined. Everyone agrees that it was an exceptionally long hard winter, but United played a number of games during that period- 5 in January, 3 in February, 4 in March, 5 in April. United's problem was that 5 of those were Cup matches, but they did not go that long without a game. They in fact played 2 games in June, as they beat Arsenal at home 2-1 on June 7th. Another question which arises is how much the cricket outfield was damaged - the link above to the Stoke match on June 14 says the pitch was muddy.
Thanks for that. Whatever the outfield was like, it looks like it wasn't a good batting wicket. The next cricket match at the Lane

So we have a 100% record in June? I'm starting to think summer football would be no bad thing.Had a look at that season, and it is not quite as I imagined. Does June know about this? This season we could be seeing the rare event of United playing in June.
I used to work with a bloke called Jones and we were all sat reciting amusing porn film names. My mate said ‘In Diana Jones and the Temple of Poon’ and Jonesy replied ‘er, my mum’s called Diana’.It reminded me of one of my favourite porn film 'parody' titles, "Indiana Bones in the Temple of June".
She wasn't a patch on her sister, April.Blades in May - now that would have been newsworthy.
Why the Ferk wern't the Massive in that league table....shocking.......June 14th 1947. Jack Pickering makes a return to the team at the age of 38 and scored the winning goal!

We can recover in the winter breakIf the league gets suspended now, we can initiate pre season training mid season. We’ll then be unstoppable post season. Gerrinn.
We can recover in the winter break
Is that because, as the saying goes, April May?She wasn't a patch on her sister, April.
