Blades Hat-Trick Heroes

Clarke's final three goals against Hull were scored in a 12 minute span as well. Is it still a hat-trick if you've already got one before that? (no)

Allus remember that for the fact it was the first time a Blade scored 4 in a match since Uptown Girl by Billy Joel was No. 1!

Fantastic hat trick too, a tap in from a rebound and two penalties!

World class.

I remember that game.

I watched it with a Brighton mate.

He wasn’t best pleased!

How the tables have turned after that game at the Withdean!

Henderson or Hammond ........

Peck’s hat trick was scored in 18 minutes. There can’t be too many quicker Blades hat tricks than that?

Asaba at Brighton in 2002-3 was faster I think

Yes, 11 mins.

James Beattie scored a 7-minute first half hat-trick in a 3-0 win over Leicester in April 2008.

The goals came in the 12th, 14th and 19th minutes, not much more than the earliest hat-trick 'record' set by Richard Kone last week.

It's funny you've mentioned this because it was nine years ago today.

Billy Sharp:

Funnily enough I’d never heard of the concept of a “perfect hat trick” until this one.
I’ve rarely heard it mentioned about other hat tricks since.

Fun fact - Germans only class it as a hat tricks if all goals are scored in the same half.

Harry Johnsons 20 hat tricks will be a record never broken.... he must have been brilliant!!
