I had the traditional woollen red and white scarf plus the silk version which didn't have a long shelf life.

In addition our school scarf , Abbeydale up to 1969, was red, white and black. A decent stand by.

Most visiting fans, pundits and players have commented on how good the atmosphere is at BDTBL. I don’t think everybody holding up 3 feet of wool between their hands would make the BL experience any better than it already is.

Remember those 'silk' (polyester) football scarves?
Got mine from Suggs! 😁
I’ve still got my “silky”. Had it for about 45 years! Everyone now calls it “the rag”, as it’s full of holes where I have chewed it through worry. I tend to just bring it out now for the really big games for sentimental reasons but it seems to be something of an unlucky omen so lm reluctant to bring it now ☹ Hey ho. UTB

Wore a new one to Newcastle away many moons ago. We lost 4-0. Threw it out of the car window on the way home.
Superstitious? Moi?

My mum bought me a new scarf for Christmas in 1979. I wore it at THAT game instead of my TC silkie.
Threw it in the river Don on my out of the deathtrap

We used to wear as many other teams’ scarves that we had nicked off their ‘hard’ crews tied to one side and a Blades scarf on the other side of our belt!

I've still got my EDS membership card somewhere :)
Me too. About 40p to get in with the card (1978 ish) prior to scaling the fence and going to stand next to the John Street tunnel .

I still wear a woollen scarf. Held aloft over my head whilst belting out the GCB at the start of the game, then back around my gregory just like Michael Palin wears his Barnstoneworth colours.
I had a silk 'Tony Currie' scarf back in the 70's that I wore around my wrist. Don't know what became of it, but think it was Christmas gift to all junior supporters that had joined EDS.
5 house points to anyone that remembers EDS, and what the acronym stood for?
Educated Dedicated Supporters ☺

I have always wanted a long scarf, 66 years old and I have never had one 🥺🙁☹️ , hard life I have had. I am tempted to take up knitting
