The Sunderland fans were exceptional. They had unwavering excitement and belief in their boys and backed them with passionate and vocal support. Before kick-off all of their fans were sat in their seats and their giant black cat flag looked brilliant, whereas it was noticeable how many Blades seats were empty, and that’s not just when the game began.

We didn’t sell out and many ‘sold out’ in terms of their backing of the players. Would it have made a difference if we had rallied round them more, especially when Sunderland equalised? Maybe not, but there’s lots to begrudgingly admire about their support and things for us to aspire to.

Whilst it was a nice gesture by the club giving everyone a scarf, the Sunderland end looked a million times better and we just looked a like half arsed tin pot effort.

Plus I will never swing a scarf around my head like that whilever I have breath in my body.

Thankfully this time round, I didn’t get parked up til 1.30 and got to Wembley about 2 so missed loads of pissed up wankers pre match. Fully expected to see plenty in the ground but was really surprised not to see any really. Must just have been lucky where I was sat.

Despite that there was some bloke behind us hoiked out in the second half (not sure why but presumably for being a cunt) which lead to one of his party gobbing off at a cop who played no part in it to the extent where he should have been lifted himself.

Oh and some wanker racially abusing a steward for literally no reason at all. Luckily I think he got lobbed out too.

Spoke with loads of Mackems on the tube and all seemed really good lads. Certainly felt a different mix of supporters from previous Wembley outings.

Yes, but you should be sat down behaving yourself whilst chomping on your Werther's Originals, not throwing windmills after half a crate of Stella and a few lines of coke!

In the section I was in, a group of drunk/drugged up fans came in just before start and spent the first 5 mins of match arguing with the fans around them. At least 1 of them appeared to get chucked out at half time.
