Yes to be honest loving it! Ever since they stole god TC and then sir Keith went there, I have had sh t off them, so please please please don't let the bottom drop out again! Martin peters was going to take the club back where we belonged div 4 really hurt! So Blades lets be happy while we can UTB

your response to point 1 makes me think that you prove the point that I was making....;)

If the point you were making was "Most people like to actually see someone on the pitch before making a judgement on them" then you're spot on but you should just have worded it better.
If you were just slagging supporters off for not getting giddy then, like I said, tosh.

We're probably saying the same thing then - I don't want them to get giddy but neither do I expect them to produce the same negative response to good news, bad news or no news at all!

Baxter's 17 goals for a near relegated side proves quite a lot IMO.

Porter scored a few in a previous life as well but it doesn't seem to be happening just now. And you probably don't remember Richard Cadette the goal machine.

What I am saying is let's wait before we go and change our collective pants.

Not a good time for the conspiracy theorists, especially over McCabe "stealing" the deeds

Will still have to be patient as we turn the club around , teams will still want to beat us , perhaps even more now, might be a few weeks before the results match the investment

We may also find that players we are interested in suddenly have inflated values also.

I remember Cadette being enough of a goal machine to beat us in the last minute at the New Den in 1994... arse!

I am reserving my footballing optimism until 4.50 on Saturday afternoon.

Generally the other stuff seems on the surface optimistic. But then after 50 odd years as a Blade I am the eternal optimist. Maybe just a tad too ironic.

Oh,. has the freehold been transferred back to the football club then? when did this happen?
There's a good argument for saying that it's in the safest place for the time being. Whilst I welcome the new investment in the football club, I would prefer the McCabes to retain ownership of the ground for the time being - they have a long track record of supporting the Blades, whatever the anti McCabe brigade might say. Keeping it out of the football club also ensures that the new monies will be spent on the playing staff, not in purchasing half of the ground which would otherwise be the case, assuming that my recollection of a peppercorn rent is correct. That's why I said in my opening post that the transfer out of the football club had proved to be for good reasons.
