Probably wrong thread but Sky News focused on the after match on pitch team talk and labelled it the 'bad' of their EFL good/bad/ugly segment.

Surely it was a massive positive pitch talk to say how well they played with 9 men and should have massively bummed Charlton (on any other day with a different referee).
I’m convinced Wilder delayed the lads coming over to us cos he saw the ref and Lino’s going to the tunnel and there was a few Charlton lads still applauding their end. Once the inevitable boos subsided for the knob in the black gear the lads came over to us to accept the applause.

Atmos after the game was a bit surreal. No points but amazing performances (pre and post sendings off) it felt like the result was secondary. Huge character displayed by so many - something a million miles away from the first 6 (non) competitive games.

All about perception isn't it? I've no issues with them personally, but look how people got their knickers in a twist when Sellés did his at start of season
That was completely different.
This was courage in adversity - as well as letting the ref get the boos as the wanker walked off. This was about the players and the huge character demonstrated

SeLLLLLLes was all about him.
He was just preening and being performative for his own image.
His tactics in that game against Bristol City were dreadful. We were wide open and got rightly punished.

Do you seriously think SeLLLLLLes was given a poor hand and would have turned it around?

Such a good day out. What a club and what a bunch of fans.

I couldn't see the little lad and his dad so I thought everyone was just singing at a couple of elderly ladies in the home end who seemed to be clapping along with us 🤣

Wasn't quite sure what to do with the "soft southern bustard" chant. Doesnt quite sound the same in a southern accent! Although I do find i end up putting on a northern accent for most of the songs anyway!

Thanks Blades, needed that 🤩
You must have been on the right hand side of the “Jimmy Seed” (😳🤢) stand like we were. Couldn’t see owt until the end when the Dad and lad went to the front to see Wilder.

Talking to some Charlton fans on the train & they couldn’t have been more complementary about our backing yesterday
Quality from both sets of fans.

Have the Pigs been down to Charlton yet this season ?

If not, they better be prepared for the carnival of all carnivals from the scummy twats of every football league supporter's second favourite club. They can't have the Blades' fans complimented until they have had a chance to present their pantomime.

I've already responded to someone else who kneejerked as well. My comment wasn't Wilder vs Sellés.

I'm not actually comparing yesterday with Sellés, but rather the perception of onfield huddles in general. Personally, I ain't got an issue with them, unless it's done in an obviously belittling 'Phil Brown ' style. But clearly others think differently
I think yesterday's was a good one. Not that I know for sure of course, but I imagine it was along the lines of 'Look at our fans and how great they've been. They're still singing. They know we've been robbed. Put the effort in the second half for the rest of the season etc etc

Yeah, I've no problem with yesterday's either; like I say, unless it's set out clearly to make a show of the players, I don't really get what the issue is

Yep, right hand side and fairly far back. Great view of the game though.

Yeah, I think it was a "you've earned this and that's why they're still here. Fuck everyone else, make the rest of the season about us and what we do and you'll get that support more often"

As I got to the turnstiles shortly before kickoff yesterday a young lad was in handcuffs in the process of being arrested. Anyone know what that was about?

Yes but clearly can't divulge too much. Got done for D+D, assaulting a police officer and fraud. 17 yo. Missed his coach back, Coppers kept him locked up till after last train left. His dad had to drive down to pick him from custody. I know what allegedly happened but didn't see the incident.

Thanks. That's a whole lot of trouble. I hope it works out for him. Respect to his dad.
