The young lad was alrwady getting the "eez a blade" treatment from the away end after ripping his coat off WWE style to show his United shirt underneath. Daft Ateward tried to chuck him and his Dad out, Wilder went over, glared at the steward till he stopped, gave them a hug and gave the kid his coat. I onow I'm getting old (I've got youbg kids too) because I got a bit emotional watching it

The 'one of our own' stuff has never really bothered me before today but I was genuinely glad I got to see that and the connection with everyone in the away end today.

It actually reminded me of when Klopp took the Liverpool players over for a sort of lap of honour after drawing at home with WBA early on in his tenure there.

The away support yesterday was absolutely tremendous , best I can remember in a long long time & never stopped singing from start to finish . The players in turn worked their socks off even when down to 9 men . Proud of us both on & off the pitch yesterday

Probably wrong thread but Sky News focused on the after match on pitch team talk and labelled it the 'bad' of their EFL good/bad/ugly segment.

Surely it was a massive positive pitch talk to say how well they played with 9 men and should have massively bummed Charlton (on any other day with a different referee).

I couldn't see the little lad and his dad so I thought everyone was just singing at a couple of elderly ladies in the home end who seemed to be clapping along with us

Wasn't quite sure what to do with the "soft southern bustard" chant. Doesnt quite sound the same in a southern accent! Although I do find i end up putting on a northern accent for most of the songs anyway!

Also why does it take adversity for Blades to really come out of our shell? We have a proper underdog fighting tone about us that when backs are to the wall we start properly backing the team.

I have a Charlton supporting mate who was there yesterday. He tells me he thought our support was superb. Revo Jr also there (his 50th ground I think) and concurs.

I'm not actually comparing yesterday with Sellés, but rather the perception of onfield huddles in general. Personally, I ain't got an issue with them, unless it's done in an obviously belittling 'Phil Brown ' style. But clearly others think differently
