Some guy who lives near me in St. Paul messaged me on Facebook to say he was a Unitedite who'd like to meet up for a match sometime. I met up with him at a Minnesota United match a week or so ago. He's a Yank who, about five years ago, saw us on TV and, apparently, we just clicked with him. Amazing really, because we were shite back then.

Just a couple updates:

My lady got me into contact with a friend of hers who is good at graphic design and when she gets home later will try to come up with a couple of designs for the club and will go from there.

No response yet from the Chairman of the supporter's groups; if not heard anything by the morning will email someone else and see what they have to say about it.

Will have first blog post and site/group page up as soon as possible hopefully by late tonight.

Thanks for the input, I am very passionate and eager to see what I can accomplish to spread enthusiasm for the Blades here in the States.

There's a Facebook group called Exiled Blades which has a list of people and their locations. Most USA based Blades seem to be based in Florida.

Bert is heading there next month. He will contact them and hopefully find a bar showing games.

Good morning all, hope everyone doing ok so far today.

I just sent an email to Trevor(Chairman of the SUFC Supporter's Club) about starting a supporters club in the US,mainly in the south as according to the site the North and NE US are covered. But can be a whole US endeavor if need be.

Anyway, I plan on having a blog for this, Facebook group maybe, and something else to help stay connected and plan meetups to watch games and the like.

Good luck with it, and love your story.
I've just got back from holiday there, and it's great to see the Prem getting such good TV coverage.
For your design question, I sometimes use a website - Peopleperhour, you can get logos designed starting for £30 by freelancers, just give them some starting ideas.

Never been to Sheffield before but hope to as soon as I can. Will be difficult with our first child on the way but will make it happen at some point👍

Try not to get your hopes up about the city itself. And try not to get your hopes up about the team because our history makes Greek tragedies look tame. But the people and the spirit of the fans are up there with the best of them.

Still very much a work in progress, but blog is up:). Also, Trevor got back to me and just said keep in contact with him about membership numbers and to ensure that whatever work I do doesn't go against Premier League rules.

Good work.

It is true that getting folk together for matches regularly would be a non-starter given the distances involved, but I did think about an annual get together for a particular match. Probably in Florida, given thats where most seem to live.
