Where did you spend your formative years?

The attached image claims to map the support in each area of Sheffield.

I spent the first two years of my life in Frecheville before moving to Norton Lees... so I guess these would be covered by Mosborough and Graves Park... both Blades areas according to the map.

Do you maybe dispute any of the areas?

Round where i live its mainly Blades fans(out of the real football fans).

Grew up in High Green and Chapeltown, predominantly people followed some other team, those in the know and born lucky becam Blades

born in upperthorpe was mainly piggy fans then but where i am now in the upperclass area aka arbourthorne  :D there all blades

linz it shows frechville on the map ;)

mines gleadless... not gleadless valley!
so that would be the nearest thing.

noticed theres no significant blade areas.

id say arbourthorn is blade area not shared

Bit irrelevant for me really as I'm not a Sheffielder, but Tadcaster has primarily been a Leeds fan zone. There are now less and less people walking around in Leeds shirts in Tad these days. :)

Was born and raised in Crookes for 8 years, my close family lived there who supported the Blades although all my school mates were piggies. Moved to Stannington where even though it is pigs dominated (we do have a pig farm not far away from the village) there are plenty of Blades hat have lived here for along time.

I only know of a few pigs in Lowedges/Batemoor/Jordanthorpe - I wouldn't even go as far as "significant" lol

Eckington seems to be a piggy area, but my dads side of the family being all blades did help my decision, as well as being a junior blade at 1 day old:D:D

I grew up in S26 which isn't on the map. I'd say that there is an even split between blades and piggies there.

.

i was havin a long old conversation about this yesterday and how the south of sheffield is far classier than our northern counterparts when i say classier i dont mean rich/poor were just cleaner and greener its a bit like comparin west street and fargate to castle markets:rolleyes:

Looks like I've always been in Blades area's except for the short time I lived at grenoside

Lived in Oughtibridge all my childhood and now Chapeltown. Bit of a black sheep I reckon. There were only 3 Blades at our primary school. My Mum still works there and she says it's more like 30/70 Blades/Owls nowadays.

Dont really know what sort of area mine is but ill go for wednesday there seems to be many more around here than united

Was Born on East Bank Road, overlooking WDTBL. Spent my formative years in Greenhill Village, mainly Blades with the usual smatering of piggies.

Castle Market is that still standing ??????

I spent the first five years of my life in Walkley, but there was never any chance of being anything other than a Blade. All the football supporters on my Mum's side were Blades, and my Dad's side were either not bothered about football, or too far flung round the country to have any influence.
From being five onwards I lived in S11, but if I'd lived on Mars I'd still have been a Blade.

I was born on Albert Road just behind the Red Lion and lived in the early years where I live now near Graves Park.

I did have an excursion down T'Cliffe and then Arbourthorne and Manor.

Most mainly Blades areas apart from the Cliffe.
