The play-offs are no good to United JD, may as well finish one place above relegation.
We only have one way to go up.
The lack of quality was evident yesterday and it'll be interesting to see how we cope with the next three games against much tougher opposition.

One thing in Deadbats report ..

Montgomery 7/10 – Steady performance where he did his usual job of breaking the play up and ensuring that the defence was protected. His passing was still erratic but you come to expect that.

Why should we come to expect that after 9 years or more of been a Professional footballer? Surely that's what training is for. Centre mid is crying out for consistent creativity. Monty can break up opposition attacks, he can also break up ours. Also after been man of match on Tuesday why was Reid dropped? All in all good win yesterday but Watford look destined for the drop, which is also where we'll end up if we continue signing there players. We need at least 2 more players and will probably need another centre half after someone bids for Killa.

Cos it ain't gonna change. Same as I don't expect Hendo to go on mazy runs, I don't expect Monty to distribute that well.

When you cannot afford to buy complete footballers, you need a balance. It's Howard's job to put his foot on the ball and spray passes.

It was a very, very average performance against a very poor side.
A good team would have scored five.
Yesterday showed we have a good defence but problems everywhere else.
Midfield was dire, Treacy looks average at best and Evans struggled for most of the game.
Best player was Walker who if he continues improving is going to make £3m look a very poor deal.
Has he even got a yard quicker over the summer?

Which game did you watch yesterday?

I watched the game where United struggled to overcome a very poor side until the 2nd goal made it safe.
A game in which we again looked painfully short of quality and goals.

I've always stood by my opinion regarding Blackwell since about 10 games in last season.

He's a decent manager, but he's not quite good enough to take a team up. He gets close before getting it wrong when it REALLY matters. For instance, Palace away when we needed to win to give ourselves a chance, and obviously the play-off final. Leeds pushed us close when we went up but lost the game that would have given them a chance, and then the play-off final for them.

Hopefully, he proves me wrong. He's got closer in the two attempts to be fair, so he deserves the chance this season after coming so close last season, but alot depends on if he's learnt from the mistakes he made last season.

Simply telling it like it is Dunc, which is maybe why you have feeble in your mind though I didn't think we were that bad.
Watford were a desperately poor side but were only a bit better, particularly going forward.

All we're missing is the annual Len prediction of where we'll finish, which are just as good as your weekly score predictions. Now was it 8th or 10th..?

Treacy set up both goals, what more do you want him to do?

Howard had his best game for a long time. Not brilliant but better.

Evans struggled? Ok, yeah right! He looked quality. His first touch is quality, he was heading it over defenders and running onto it. Had a good long range shot just miss the post. Crossed to Hendo for him to head over, kept his composure to cooly score a good goal. If he "struggled" i can't wait till he's not!

Sounds to me like you're the type of person that's not happy unless you're moaning!

Good performance the other day. Had around 12 shots off target wait till we start getting them on target. I personally don't think we could've created any more chances. Its early days, we're unbeaten in first two one of which was against one of the favourites. Roll on Tuesday, we'll beat Leicester and then moan that we didn't beat them by more goals! No pleasing some people.
