Admit we're decimated with injuries, but fucking hell tonight was a absolute bag of shite, looked like two pub teams slogging it out. Roll on end of season !!

The reason they were dogshite was because they were decimated with injuries, a point was a good result and to a man although quality was not on show- 100% effort was. Blackpool have just won 3 on the spin- and although I'd say Blackpool edged it, it wasn't by much, expectations on a team short of 11 players- plain ridiculous.

Well done United- GOOD POINT.

I thought first half we were the better team and it was a really good game, end to end and we really should have scored. Second half Blackpool were the better team but we stayed in it and took the lead only for the linesman to make a very odd decision by my understanding. We're low on numbers and really need some squad rotation but can't. Gordon was decent, really pleased for him.

very frustrating point, yes we were sloppy in possession in that 2nd half. so frustrating, too desperate with that ball. just needed calm down, it was like a hot potato,

but its hard enough with our injuries. 11 out apparently, without being robbed by the linesman & its the same the last month, useless officiating, VAR that is poor itself, but it has shown with its own horror shows. but the standard of officiating has gone hugely downhill its either inconsistent or simply guessing. as there is absolute no chance the linesman can be sure that was offside. he was 30/40yds on the touchline. the referee didn't see it or any players protest

Ref gives goal. Linesman keeps flag down yet they some how come up with no goal

Law 11 Offside

Offside position
It is not an offence to be in an offside position.

A player is in an offside position if:
  • any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line) and
  • any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent
The hands and arms of all players, including the goalkeepers, are not considered. For the purposes of determining offside, the upper boundary of the arm is in line with the bottom of the armpit.
A player is not in an offside position if level with the:
  • second-last opponent or
  • last two opponents
Offside offence
A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:
  • interfering with play by playing or touching a ball passed or touched by a team-mate or
  • interfering with an opponent by:
  • preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or
  • challenging an opponent for the ball or
  • clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent or
  • making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball
or
  • gaining an advantage by playing the ball or interfering with an opponent when it has:
  • rebounded or been deflected off the goalpost, crossbar or an opponent

Please send to the linesman. He obviously hasn’t seen this before.

They were comfortable passing around us and cut through the midfield with ease. Bowler in particular gave us all kinds of problems. You must have been asleep for the second half!

They had one player Bowler
The rest were quite average at best
Apart from Bowler they never caused us any problems, Madine was poor on a par with McBurnie in his recent outings

MGW and Ndiaye are both capable of ghosting past players and terrifying defences but our own defence seems to evaporate when we come up against a Bowler, a Lewis-Potter of Hull or a 'take your pick' from Coventry. Clearly we need a way to neuter these players though perhaps not literally!

I agree with other posters who have noted our corners and free kicks are dire and rarely produce goals. I find myself irritated when we take hurried short free kicks instead of longer, more hopeful balls forward too.

Overall, okay with a draw considering our list of injuries but would like to have seen a roll of the dice from the bench near the end.

You realise that they will be talking to each other and don't actually need to put the flag up immediately?

And if this was in relation to the Norwood shot after it's recycled from a corner, there's five United players in an offside position and Sharp is clearly obstructing the keeper's view

A point away against a club making a late challenge for the play-offs is no disgrace.

Play-Offs still in our own hands. I'm frankly still amazed and eating humble pie over the fact that we're anywhere near the Top 6!

I would expect Barnsley at home to be a bread and butter challenge for Hecky & Co.

Slip-up against the Tykes and the wheels may indeed be coming off any realistic promotion hope.

However, without significant player investment I don't see this year's Play-Offs winner (whoever they may be) surviving in the Premier League next season.

9 games to go, need to keep within 3 points of 6th throughout.

Sharp being there plays absolute no part in the keeper not being able to save it

Which is completely irrelevant to the point in hand. Norwood's shot could have been an unstoppable piledriver into the top corner, the lucky deflection that it was, sliced into the Irish Sea or blocked by the first defender - our only striker is standing in an offside position in basically in a direct line between Norwood and the keeper.
