Second match of the week, can we make it a second victory?

Blackburn face tough opposition in Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight while Blades are still buzzing from last night's victory at home to Fulham.

Can we go to Ewood Park and steal some points on Saturday?

Should we change the team selection considering that Chris Morgan's suspension has now come to an end?

For a Blackburn match preview featuring Foxy and myself... see HERE.

Hey thats a good preview on there and good answers you two made a good read!

i personally think we will win this game im going in confident as long as we dont change the team

if the team is changed i feel it will not work aswell

Not sure I remember us drawing 2-2 with Blackburn last year. That match wouldn't have finished 2-2 if we'd played for 3 days!! ;)
Remember the cup game that we won on pens though. John Pemberton's winning pen smashed into the top corner without a care in the world - why can't we do that in World Cups??

I think Blackburn will miss Savage (and definitely Tugay if he's out) and that might just allow us to nick this. It all depends on the team selection and the way we approach the game. If we go for a draw we'll hand them the initiative and lose!

It was noted and Foxy makes his excuses further down that thread ;)

agreed tino,

after the performance ast night i definately think that the team should remain the same barring any injuries etc.

With regards to the preview through the link, made a very good read did that.

Hope we keep pretty much the same team, though if Fathi is as good as he sounds he'd be an option to replace CKR on the right. Really need to keep to 442 with Jags in central defence rather than midfield. Think we've got a decent chance of at least a point, Blackburn is hard to call though as they seem as inconsistent as we do!

Dunno when I'll get there....but are people heading for the recommended away pub of the Fernhurst?

Not so sure about dropping CKR....his crossing caused Fulham loads of problems.

I presume we'll be in the Ferhurst so we will more than likely see you!

:)

is the fernhurst the pub just behind the stand sf? or did i imagine reading that

From the football ground guide.............

The Fernhurst is really known as the 'away supporters pub'. It is on the Bolton Road (A666) just across from the ground at the away supporters end (Darwen End). You can also park at the Fernhurst pub for £3, but you will be delayed in getting away after the game. It is a large pub with Sky Sports being shown on a large screen and has a restaurant area to its rear and a large function room upstairs. On my last visit the pub had even put up a number of signs welcoming the fans of the visiting team, which was a nice touch. The Fernhurst also offers reasonably priced accommodation. Most other pubs that I came across in the area, had large signs outside showing that they were for home fans only. Alcohol is also served within the ground.

might do depends how much i have consumed on the way and weather ican be arsed to be honest

he'll get you confused with me then!

I think NW has to handle Kid Kazim with care, as he can easily flip between too big for his boots, to dropping his head.. We need him to be consistent, without showboating. If he can strike the right balance & attitude, he can go on the become a great player for the Blades. Without being at the training ground, its a hard call...

I with lots of us would love to see Fathi, sooner rather than later, but while Monty & Tongey perform like against Fulham, neither of them should be dropped. Squinny DEFINITELY stays in the starting line up. He tired a bit though, and maybe the move would be to bring on Fathi for the last 1/2 hr, and move Tongey right, so Fathi gets a run in the middle of the park..

If Kid Kazim is on fire, he's going to keep Keef on the bench... where he deserves to be after the recent upset.

Blackburn are a tough proposition at Ewood, & will want to bounce back after losing 3-0 at Chelski. They played well enough, but got nothing. I hope they miss Savage, but I don't think that they neccessarily will.... That said, MOnty does for us what Sav does for them, so we DO stnd a decent chance. The game won't be pretty, and it'll be close, but we can win it. A point would still be a good return though.

Maybe the MOST important thing here is not to pick up any serious injuries??

keef is still banned isnt he so no chance of him coming in anyway. i agree quinn should stay in the team and monty and tonge should also stay in i want an unchanged line up (for once) jags is a much better defender than midfielder.

Totally agree with the last 2 postings, same team has to start and long may jags stay at centre back...although i expect him to shift back into midfield when our injured players return.

Really looking forward to tomorrow, only my second away day of the season and hopefully we will have plenty to sing about on the lash in blackburn afterwards.

up the blades.

Many thanks again to HastaBRFC for providing the answers for us.

Might try approaching other fansites in the future to ask them to contribute to our previews if you think it's worthwhile?

It adds more interest.....so a good idea.

I'm definately going tomorrow, I feel much better today, I'll be driving there tomorrow, so I guess I'll be there at the Fernhurst.

Can't see Warnock playing CKR tomorrow. Blackburn have too much talent in midfield for Neil to be content playing 3 attacking midfielders - especially away from home - he'll do something stupid I reckon. :D
