CKR dropped, Kozzy in??
why go defensive when attacking football worked on tuesday?
hope it works anyway, i think a points a good result
COME ON BLADES!!

Sounded like we deserved at least a draw, good to see Stead score again:)

and top marks to Hasta who guessed the scoreline, who'd score the equaliser and Gamst to score a free kick:D

Bloody referee, bloody Pedersen. How many times did I see Hulse get mowed down or tugged back and nothing being done about it??? That referee had no effing spine! I still maintain the belief referees are trying to send us back down!:(

No major injuries.... Good News!
Wet Ham, Watfor, Chokelton all lost... Good News!
Stead scored.... Good News!
Played well.... Good News!

OK, deliberately over-optimistic, but today was one of those days when things didn't go our way at the end of normal time, and it won't be the last. We have to roll with the punches, and we are in good company losing at B'burn.

Not a disaster by any means, we're still well clear of trouble. Chins up lads & lasses. Remember, Weeds won & went bottom the other day! We are staying up, keep the faith!

Why change a winning team?

why not use subs?

We didnt deserve to lose that but refs will be refs and trust us to get a twat today when we could do with the points. Although warnock really has to stick to a settled starting 11 now.

Good old condescending Lineker on MOT f-in D

Warnock complained about the free-kick award but didn't go off on one, just said that people who'd played the game knew it was a FK. Lineker sez "Come on Neil, that's not a proper rant" and then goes on to say he suspects Warnock knows it was a FK, then looks at Alan "Captain Tedious" Shearer and sez "I think you played a bit...". What an absolute ****.
The BBC just don't believe we deserve to be in the Premiership. They make my blood boil

Anyway, with a bit of luck we'll get those 50-50 decisions at home and that will be enough to keep our noses ahead of the pack.

UTB!!

Your Man of the Match v. Blackburn

Well, we looked good for a point but sadly the referee thought otherwise in the closing stages!

Nah... in all seriousness, we had the chances to put away and could've been three goals to the good by the time Blackburn slotted home in the first half. It was a good away performance by the Blades and Geary did well on the wing.

Who was your Man of the Match?

For the second match running im plumping for Geary as MOTM.

Anyways, why we recalled Kozzy i will never know. If you ask me he should not really have a first team future with us (although he barely did anything wrong yesterday)

Lucketti I thought played well too, and I think morgan will find it hard to get back in side in the real world, but as it is warnocks world, morgan will be playing the next game.

Well the day started so well, had a great time. but missed the train from bolton so had to do a detour to pub. finally got in blackburn though about 12.20

Went down and saw the SF vagabonds, and was by this time a very merry Robbie :D

Went to ground and Blackburn coppers seem to have a real attitude problem with one even grabbing hold of me for absolutely no reason other than me trying to get to the turnstile. but thats by the by on my part.

1 mate thrown out for "taunting home fans" and one arrested for calling a copper a wanker. So as you can imagine the day got better and better he he, well after a few trips round we eventually managed to get him out of cells and got the last train, all ready for a night out in sheffield :D

Anyways, not best game in world but we dint deserve to lose. Watching hulse (think it was) shot slowly go towards post, all it needs was to be a cm closer to net and would have been 1-0, and monty from 8 yards out, well even i could have finished :D

I voted Luketti for my man of the match!

Should have been over in 1st 20 minutes montgomery should scored, probably would of been a goal had it fallen to someone else, stead should of scoredbefore he did hulse hit the post

Nice too see ya linz n foxy n sf :)

Did anyone else hear the rumour prior kick off the Hughes had had a heart attack? Obviously it wasn't true but it was ringing round.

I'm still gutted :(

Just a few observations / reflections on the Blackburn game this weekend.

I had been looking forward to this fixture for a couple of months now because we had made plans to stay over and head out into Blackburn town centre for one of the lads birthdays. We booked into the lodge / pub that was just outside the ground (the fornhurst) just after 12AM , dumped our bags in our rooms and headed back to the pub which was slowly filling with blades fans (I think the pub was allocated as an away boozer).

After watching the first half of the drab Merseyside derby and failing to drum up much enthusiasm for the chants we were starting, we headed outside to the car park which appeared to offer more of an atmosphere. A few beers and a few dozen songs later we were off to the game in great spirits.

The game, what I can remember, was not quite as one sided as some of the reports have suggested in the Sunday papers but we were well in the game throughout. I was disappointed that we replaced Kazim-Richards because I felt his skill and pace could get upset the Rovers full back but Del Geary didn’t let anyone down as usual(special mention to the girl sat directly behind me who shouted “Derek”, and “come on Geary” every two seconds regardless of whether he was near the ball…very strange and amusing).

I thought Bentley was a class apart for Blackburn and he gave stretch a torrid time down that flank, I’m not going to be too critical of Kozluk because we are all aware of his flaws but I would hope he will be out of the side for the spurs game.

I thought Monty battled well and Stead showed some real class at times, I seem to be the only one who was disappointed with Hulse who I thought didn’t offer much in the second half.

The free-kick was cruel but in the time that has passed since the game I found myself counting the times we have been on the receiving end of last minute goals compared to the times where we have scored them. I suppose we were due in fairness.

Overall, I thought it was a promising performance and we deserved a draw. We came away with nothing and I fear it may be a while before we see another victory but we just need to weather the storm in anticipation of the epic last 5 games which will, at the very least, make for an eventful end of the season.

I won’t go into details of the night out in Blackburn (partly because I cannot remember much) but all in all I had a very good time other then the result. I still think we will stay up and I am pleased to report that the apathy that followed my last away trip to Everton has been replaced with renewed excitement for my next away trip (Charlton).

Up the blades!

i wasnt they didnt let me in the knobbers so went to aldi and got 8 cans of carlsberg :)

I still cant understand how we lost this game last minute kills me :(
