I hope Wilder dont go into Wednesday nite squad experimental mode again, please play the winning team again and when we are 3 nowt up then bring the squadies on.
“Squadies?”

What’s that?:tumbleweed:

Do you mean “square ladies?” Our women’s team?

That’s just silly if so! ;)

If we make changes, 2 max. Maybe Stearman for Egan if he needs to have one off after the head injury at Millwall, and maybe an attacking change, depending on what Wilder sees on the vids in the week. Maybe a bit of pace up front in Washington.

Definitely need to keep the midfield intact until we know how the game is going though. Always think it's better if you're going to play for a half, to play the first and come off, than to come on to try and sort shit out.

By all means put Baldock, Woodburn, Couttsy on but only if we're in the game.

Hopefully we don't play Leon and Washington together either. Just don't think that works, from what (admittedly little) I've seen of him, I feel like Washington is just a fast Leon type striker, so one at a time for those two.

Is there only me in the world who doesn't understand why a professional footballer can't play 2 games of 90 minutes in a week? Surely they can play and simply not train as much. Most of them will get a rest after Saturday anyway as it's the international break. From a player's point of view, surely you just want to play every game. I'd play the same team and then use the subs if players are looking tired.
Chris says our pressing game requires a lot more fitness & ultra stamina than other teams in the Champ. It's our ace up our sleeve ......other teams may have far more expensive quality players throughout their squad so we compensate with a double the work rate high pressing game. They still need to train as hard ....if not harder .... to ensure maximum fitness for our style of play. Of our forwards Leon can do this for Chris ....he didn't miss many games or needed to be subbed last season did he. He ploughed on chasing down , dragging 2 defenders to mark him, acted as a wall , was a platform for others in the team to score, even when it was obvious he was burnt out at the end of a game. Which is why Chris rates him so highly but for some reason a few supporters can't seem to grasp this. But while David is in such brilliant form & Billy is happy to play the full 90 mins & is also in form , Chris will stick with them if they are also giving it the full Monte in training. I believe Chris is a brilliant manager....his record proves it .....so I will back all of his decisions not just the ones I like or approve of. It's called being a Blade ! Whoever he plays back the man...we can all have different opinions but back the players he backs for each game. If you don't & he gets peed off & is lured by a bigger club with more money you will be sorry. And more importantly I will be sorry.

Last time I went to Ewood park we lost 6-1 Edwards scored his 200th goal

Absolutely loved that game. The few Blackburn fans were taking the piss at how crap we were and just didn't get how the whole away end went barmy over that goal. They tried to carry on abusing us, but we just sang, laughed and danced.
"Oz a when dem Baldes, goes a marchin' in......"

I also remember much hilarity at the tense midweek game late season in 1990. A certain large forward came on for us and chants of "Billy's gonna get yer..." filled the air. A decent away draw and job almost done. All we had to do was to try and get somrehing in the next game at Leicester.....

Went under Warnock in the PL and he dicked about with the team to 'combat Blackburn's strengths' We lost of course, thanks to Uncle Neil and his tactical genius. About 4,000 there that day and no fun had whatsoever.

Bradley Dack has become a real quality player in the last year or so.

He's always had ability, but he seems to have improved further, and his fitness and attitude have also got better. It's all come together for him now and he's already established himself as one of the very best players in the division. I think being at Blackburn away from his bubble has allowed him to concentrate on football.

He's splitting the attacking midfielder/striker role brilliantly. He's scored a lot of real poacher's goals despite not playing as an out and out striker.

We'll have to have eyes on him wherever he is on the pitch. He'll be a major threat, probably more so than any individual opponent so far this season, but I'm looking forward to seeing him play, as well Palmer and Armstrong, who I wanted us to sign, and who would've been an improvement on what we ended up with.
How did you think of Dack and Armstrong last night? Where was Palmer?

Palmer was on the bench, unlike Woodburn.

Probably Dack's quietest game for a long time.

Armstrong was probably their biggest threat when he got the ball. He's better than Washington.

You are never wrong!
