I now its a bit early to look at this but I was bored yesterday. Looking at the final matches for us, Bolton, Scunny & Fleetwood. one thing stood out Bolton have only 6 at home & 9 away. Ours & Fleetwood looks the best.

Looking good for us for the run in, but as Stretch said this is United! or as Russel Muir would say UUUUnnniiittteedddd wish they had cut that from the final version of the Movie :(

Bit of a tangent, but with over three months of the season to go, we only have one more Saturday home game after Bolton. Charlton on 18th March.

My brain is starting to sizzle again! Who knows what ,where or how? Hang on to your seats fellas, the twisty turny thing is on it's way.

All meaningless guesswork.

Football is so unbelievably unpredictable, it won't pan out how any of us think.

It's why bookmakers exist.
Actually, bookies exist because people irrationally reject the notion that things will probably pan out as expected.

That's why the booky wins. :)

Genuinely thought it was on Saturday.
Just need to pick the time and place to tell her, not to though

It's a win-win. You have saturday free now to treat her; "Darling you are so special that I want us to spend time together shopping / watching a chick flick / putting up those shelves you've been asking for, for the last 4 years". You never know, chuck in a bunch of flowers and you might even get your leg over.

Then come Monday, you explain how sad it is that this country has become so heathen. As a reminder of the meaning of life, you plan to spend the afternoon in St Mary's church thanking the Lord for the gift of his son; alone though!.

Simples.

What could possibly go wrong?

Kin hell if I bought our lass flowers she'd be convinced I'd been up to summat.

The old ones are the best.....

When you turn up with the flowers she will be overcome with grattitude. She will lie down on the settee, open her legs provocatively and whisper; "This is for the flowers"
The correct response is not
"In there? Haven't you got a vase"

I'm on here all week......

The booky wins because he takes 16% out of every events book , thats why he loves accas 16% x16% x16% etc , you do get Chris Kamara to dress up like that free you know , if you do get sucessful with the bookies , he just closes your account anyway , they are up there with football agents as the footballs parasites .

We should look at what CW has put in place ready for the run in too. We have by far the biggest, strongest squad. So when others start to suffer with tiredness, injuries and suspensions we'll be able to rotate without too much depreciation of the quality in the first 11. How many teams around us would want a bench like ours with the likes of O'Shea, Carruthers, EEL, Scougall, McNulty, Lavery, Wilson and Riley, with Chapman on his way back too and the hardworking Done always ready to put in a shift? CW could be one of the best managers we've ever had.

but this a United side that keeps going and looks capable
in past years Ive had more hope than belief in our ability
this year there a strong belief we are more than good enough to brush aside most teams we yet to play

The good thing is that Scunny and Bolton both still have to face Fleetwood and each other. After Saturday, we have none of those teams left to play. They all take points off each other and we do our bit, it puts us further ahead. Scunny also have to go to Millwall whilst Bolton have to go to Southend. The highest place team we have left to travel to is 8th place Rochdale but we do face Millwall and Bradford at home.

Plenty of twists and turns yet I'm sure but the picture certainly looks promising. This weekend could change all of that either for better or worse though.

Yep, but people know what's being offered up front, and still take the bet. That's the irrationality.

Don't disagree at all, but there is always doubt, 6 years and longer of the shit that we have been served up and you can see why most would be pessimistic, until it is mathematically sorted and we go up or enter another year of play offs, I will stay slightly pessimistic, loving the ride at the moment but always worried the rug is going to be pulled from under us.
