Duffy made the goal by dropping off into one of those little pockets of space....
He has not played well but that made all the difference

Must move up 10 yards and shift the ball faster . Going backwards way too oftem

Birmingham have defended the wide areas very well, so instead of finding pockets of space in the middle (Duffy & Flecks job) we've persisted with passing it wide, then coming back again, then trying down the other side and coming back again.

Duffy received the ball once in this area and it led to the goal. Him and Fleck aren't doing enough

For me i would put Madine on for McG amd go from back to front quicker. Leave Duffy to pick the 2nd ball up. This EXACTLY the kind of game for a Billy Winner from 2 yards

We had a lot of space but were lacking direct positive play, much as I love Duffs he has been quiet apart from the assist & I think the second half is tailor made for Dowell, he covers ground at pace & takes players out of the game with his runs. I still think we will win but we need to inject some dynamism into the game, if we can do that we will tear them apart.

Agree with that.
Wilder will be contemplating whether to give up the patient build up play and go more direct.
We struggled to break down Birmingham at Bramall Lane and it’s looking similar again,
Got to say for a home side Birmingham really lacked ambition for 40 minutes of that half they seemed happy to sit back and hope to get us on the break. The goal we conceded was poor but to be honest a draw is a fair scoreline so far.
