No apologies for starting another Billy thread because today, the man was outstanding!

Can't believe we scored 6 with him on the pitch and he didn't get on the scoresheet but with 3 direct assists and two more major involvements, his contribution was immense. MOM for me, in a team full of candidates.

The great thing about this is Slav is absolutely seeing how valuable he is to this team….where his predecessor had him 3rd 4th in line, it’s great to see Billy playing, playing well and smashing it. Long may it continue.

Absolutely phenomenal today!
I wanted him to get his goal so badly, but mainly just for his sake.
Regardless, goal or not, thats one of the best displays I think I've ever seen from him.

As I said in the Shoutbox, shades of Deane against Sunderland in Sharp's performance today. Best non-scoring Centre Forward performance I can remember in a long time.

To be fair, McBurnie also contributed nicely once he came on.

The man is an absolute legend. I shake my head every time I read someone on here tell us that Billy is past it.

He just gets better. Quality quality player and we are still very lucky to have him. Most importantly though, he really cares.

Goalscorer, skipper, leader, legend.

Billy was my MOTM today.

Sick of people slagging him off in last couple of years because of his age. This isn't like 20+ years ago. Better diets now, No booze no fags (or at least not as much!).

There are plenty of players his age and older still going... one of them scored twice in the Premier League today. (I don't really need to say who that was do I)

Today was up there as one of the best performances I've seen from him... ever!

One of his best all round performances today.

His playing contribution was one thing, but when Ndiaye went down he helped the physio administer magic spray.

rumours he was serving drinks in the exec suite post match were untrue.

love Billy. He makes life complete

Indeed, Billy was the one player who benefited most from the new lads influence, exactly his type of game suited him down to the ground. No doubts he will be a proud man tonight to have led us to victory

Tin hat on from all the Bladey Blades… but when was his last good game? Peterborough he was good yeah but even so, it’s Peterborough. Been abysmal last few games. Says a lot for Slavs faith in both Mcburnie and Brewster eh

One good game in 3 or 4. Id be surprised if we could get much more out of him at age 36 though, especially if we’re expecting him to play 90 minutes regularly.

Abysmal is a ridiculous overreaction. He's been getting in decent positions and doing good link up play, playing 90 minutes every game at his age is poor management.

Abysmal tonight (in reply to GG), MGW Fleck and Norwood all abysmal too. Osborn isn’t a LW fffssssss
