Sorry to say it, again, but he does not have one attribute to make him effective enough to make a difference at this level

Constantly outmuscled, off the pace and final ball woeful when he had the chance to set McBurnie up with a simple 5 yard pass. Decided to blast it to the South Stand advertising boards.

Most worrying thing for me is him and McBurnie starting together upfront again. It’s like we learned absolutely nothing watching them last season. It’s our worst partnership by a mile. It doesn’t work, never has and never will.

A positive to end it though: Sander might be fit to start next time out and him in for Lundstram makes us levels better. He is an incredible player.

I'm impressed with Sharp. He's never been fitter and to me actually looks faster than before. One of the reasons is that, unlike many players, he actually runs at full speed quite often. Having said that up front is an area where we're desperate for a bit of flair, skill and genuine pace. We can't be relying on Sharp, so hopefully there will be a good addition soon.

I don’t think he was too bad tonight. Should really have shot himself rather than squaring for Lundstram in the second half.

Certainly wasn’t the worst player on the pitch. Fingers pointed more at the midfield and defence tonight. Very weak in those areas. Stevens and Lundstram extremely poor.

Sharp was excellent. Yes he should have played a better ball to Lundstram and we score but his all round game is so good and his movement was causing them problems. If we were better at creating chances he's our most likely scorer too.

His movement was great, found some nice pockets of space 2nd half. But as you say, couldnt find the short pass. He has to find lundstram there. And probably McB for the one(s) 5/10 minutes later.

If he’s what we have and all we can afford then surely we play him. Didz injured and no pre season. Moose, who the fuck knows. Board not willing to turn us into villa and pay over the odds for Watkins etc. What’s the point in digging Billy out when we was outplayed by a better team all over park.

Sharp and Didzy are towards the end of their careers and are not good enough at this level. McBurnie has been little better and certainly hasn’t justified his price tag.

It was blatantly obvious that we needed to strengthen up front and it’s unbelievable that we haven’t. Burke was the cheapest of cheap options.

We also lack pace and power throughout the team but again it hasn’t been properly addressed.

I’m still hoping we bring in a couple of quality players this transfer window. We can’t wait until Jan.

I thought he caused more trouble than most tonite. Final ball with his left was not great. But good positions movement, carried the ball on occasion, surprisingly decent pace. McBurnie was more of the issue.

There's no coincidence that those two started tonight.

Wilder has previous with showcasing what he is lacking, to suggest to the board to get a deal over the line for what he needs. Evans for Norwood, comes to mind.

Tonight, he had an injured Mousset, a raw Burke, a McGoldrick whom hadn't trained and then Sharp and McBurnie. He needs someone willing to run the channels and able to change the game.

Easily our most intelligent striker (low bar) and he deserves credit for how fit and motivated he is.

He's just not Premier League quality. He wins free kicks, gets himself between the opposition and the ball but doesn't have the quality to create for others or the flair/pace/strength to do something on his own. He get in the right positions but is often too slow to react or to make a decision and loses out.

I said at the time, but it's worrying that both him and Didzy have got 2 more years.

As I said before the season started, we’ve made signings we didn’t need (0 started bar Ramsdale who’s imperative) and our main issue wasn’t addressed. McGoldrick couldn’t hit a barn door. Sharp past it. McBurnie fucking useless. We can’t keep Championship players and hope they’re gonna come up and make a statement, 9/10 times they fucking won’t.

Thought we were below par tonight....not that bad and nothing to worry about yet.

The only positive for me was Berge...he played similiar to Lunny at his best...loads of strength and energy.....but better quality on the ball.
Norwood had quite poor game and Berge gave us a new dimension in midfield...promising display.
