So rumours are Billy is returning as a player / coach next season. Thoughts ?

I can see Wilder as Manager / Sharp as a Player Coach & Arblaster as Captain!!!!!! Honestly it would not surprise me as where Wilder wants to go!!!

Totally Bladey Bladeness!!!! Sheffield 2026!!!! What a city.

Sharp as a striker coach would be ideal for someone like Cannon.

I suspected Billy might be coming home after Steven Rosen spoke in the Fan Zone and the first thing he mentioned without prompting was he would put getting Billy back as a coach on his " to do" list , so wasn't surprised to hear he was leaving Doncaster at the end of the season , but I then heard him talking to Radio Sheffield prior to the game v Blackburn and he seemed quite set on playing for another season , even hinting he might team up with David McGoldrick somewhere as a front 2 , ,

That’s not what Billy stated in his interview with Giddings on RS post match. He still wants to play, wants to team up again with Didzy. He never mentioned anything about playing for Dem again. He knows that’s been and gone- but the lazy Bladey Bladeness gets trotted out again

I heard yesterday that Didzy might be off to Chesterfield, so maybe Billy wants to join him there?

Cannon would require a brain bigger than a malteaser to learn anything from Sharp. Hes got the intelligence of a bag of mince.

I think Billy completed all his coaching badges a while back, sure I read that somewhere.

Doesn't mean he will be an expert, but it does mean he has put the effort in to get this far.

Yeah and he’s certainly got the intelligence to take his coaching forward.

His experience of playing at all levels of the football league will also be useful

Regardless of his bladeyness I’d say that he’s got an impressive CV for a striking coach at any EFL club.

If he’s looking to continue playing for another year or so and linking up with Didsy that would be a good move for them all, I’d actually go and watch.

But I think if that also comes with a coaching role as well, Chesterfield would benefit from the experience

Hes been holding soccer camps for years so I reckon he must be badged up ,wasnt Kevin Blackwell the most badged up in football ,yet Clough and Paisley didnt have one between them.
When I did mine Eddie Gray was Leeds manager but they realised he had none and wouldnt be able to carry on without them. He came for the first 2 days and then binned it off ,then left his job the week after.
