Outgoing? Billy Sharp

No chance. No way is wilder going to leave us with just 3 strikers.
And what’s the sense in loaning someone at sharps age out, sold or nothing

Clarke
Clayton
Wilson
Ched
Lavery
Brooks

I think Billy is tied as our 3rd choice striker at the moment based on form.

Donaldson is certainly our best bet for goals and assists recently.

Wilson has a goal already and looks good positionally.

Leon has scored a lot but hasn't for a few games and is a bit out of form, Billy played well in the cup and I'm pretty sure Wilder said he's looked good in training the other day, so I'd put them about level. Probably as likely to score as each other but one is dipping and the other rising. I expect to see him start against PNE and I think he'll make league appearances too in the next few.

Brooks is ill, don't know where he'll be when he gets back so I'll ignore him for now.

Ched next, an unknown but potentially a fully fit Ched could do some damage.

And then Lavery, who'll probably be off before the end of the JTW, either way he'd be my last choice. He's pretty annoying for defenders but he doesn't score. He's more of a 'winning 3-0 waste some time' substitute for me until he gets regular game time to get his eye in.

I wouldn't say that's a situation where Billy is thinking "I may as well fuck off then".

Other players, maybe, but not Bill.

He didn’t play well in the cup at all. He worked his nuts off but overall he was poor.

It’s a stupid man to write of Billy Sharp but currently he’s our 4th choice striker.

The short news item that I saw said that he's being "squeezed out" (others in front of him in the queue at the moment) and that Bradford are interested (not so strange, with his L1 record). Unlikely to happen, unless Sharp feels he's not going to figure and wants to go.

He shouldn’t be allowed to go anywhere. We will need him and he’s surely first in if Leon or Donaldson get injured.

If he was on the bench every week for a season, or wasn’t good enough, fair enough, but he hasn’t and he certainly is. Billy has been dropped because of poor form and he’s only been on the bench a few weeks. He’s a professional, it’s up to him to get back in, not slink off elsewhere.

I have no doubt he will see it that way too. He clearly loves this club. Can’t see him doing anything other than busting a nut to get back in.

Wilder has already said the striker he is looking to send out on loan is Lavery.

Our strikers for now are:

Clarke
The Don
Sharp
Wilson
Ched

Watching the warm up at Norwich I thought to myself Billy looks good, he was hitting shot after shot clean as a whistle, he’ll be back soon, no doubt

Ha ha are you lads all having a laugh?, check out the start of this season, Billy Sharp scoring goals, even now after not figuring in first team football for ages, go and check out the top scorer stats for our league, he is still in there! 8 goals!

Yeah, we don't need a player like him do we ....(best scorer in any league last season), put him in front of the goal and he will score

Lavery going out on loan
Brooks isn’t a striker
Ched miles off being match fit, and injury prone

Lavery still here
Brooks can play as a striker
Ched will be back very shortly.

Don't be so negative :)

Despite his immense goal tally, he often has dry spells (like all strikers) and has spells sitting on the bench at Championship clubs.

We can’t afford any injuries to strikers, so he’s essential in my view and could well regain form.

I don’t think he’s pushing for a loan, he just wants to get back in the side but knows Chris won’t pick a side on sentiment.

We still have a pop at the play offs and if Billly were to take a loan, he effectively rules himself out. He’s not going to do that. He has 18 months on his contract, he can think about the future in the summer.

He's suffered more than most at the change of style since Coutts injury but he might benefit from the new signings being integrated into the squad
I'd be looking at Billy Saturday and if he plays well and his attitude is good he could force his way in from fourth choice to higher up the pecking order .I'd be disappointed if he asks for a move rather than fights for his place especially seen as this would be the third time and Surely people can't blame the manager this time

Imo - this has probably stemmed from Billy’s disappointment at not getting on against Wednesday.

Imo he is probably 4 choice striker at the moment and deservedly so because he just hasn’t looked as threatening as the others in the last few weeks.

Can’t see him being loaned out unless he asks - he’s going to get chances before the end of the season for sure.

Can only see Billy going if we sign Cole or similar
We have to be realistic , hes getting on and if we do go up very doubtful hed be in the team

Can do stuff for us this season , but promotion would see him become surplus

probably the same with a few more over 30s

Don't believe him ,they have made an enquiry but a far more pressing enquiry has been made by Adkins at Hull.
Personally I think he should play Saturday alongside Wilson and leave Wilder no choice but to keep him at the Lane.
The Bradford interest, bit out of left field.

The Adkins interest was about 1/5 on !!!!!

If Sharp decides he'd be better off leaving the club he supports to work for Adkins in a relegation scrap with Dull (& all their ownership related problems) then it's a sure sign he's headed too many balls during his career.

Sharp has suffered since Coutts was injured because we have not moved the ball quickly enough from midfield. Evans, Leonard and Holmes now bring in options that will suit Sharps style of play. He's a natural predator and we need to harness that especially in the tight games at Home. CW has got most things right this season but can't help feeling he made a mistake in not bringing Billy on against the pigs. That was tailor made for him and it will have hurt not to play in either Derby this season.

We are going for a play off place and Sharp needs to be a part of that. He's scored eight goals this season. He needs to start on Saturday and take it from there. BS loves the Club but the draw of playing regular championship football under a boss who he respects must interest him. Problem is Madkins is now so close to the drop a few more defeats and he could be gone.

Why was the pig game tailor made for him ?they're centre backs were all over our front two, Billy has struggled with this this season so why do you think it was tailor made for him ?

My feeling at the time was he'd have got on the end of a good cross and side foot ⚽ a goal.

Bringing him on against a tiring 10 man team and playing three up front was tailor made for him. Pigs centre halfs were too comfortable. Marking a third forward would have given them more to think about. Two balls went across the six yard box in the last 5 minutes no-one on the end of them. We had two spare subs he should have been one of them.

Billy will want to earn back to back promotions, now unless he signs for Wolves, Wigan or Luton he has no better chance of doing it than the club he holds in such high regards.................The Blades!

Importantly, Brian The Idiot closes out Football Heaven with a view on this. Following on from the Norwich loss due to Ched Evans and Brooks not playing the full 90 minutes on Saturday, he’s declared that “Billy should not join Sheffield 6”.

Thanks Brian.
